Looking for a girl name for #3. Older sisters are [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name]. Last name is 3 syllables and ends in “ski”. I feel like I could continue the 2 syllable, ends in “a” with [name]Norah[/name], but I find myself hung up on the name [name]Mirabelle[/name], using [name]Mira[/name] or [name]Miri[/name] as a nickname. Thoughts? Also open to other suggestions for names.
I like Norah best. I honestly think it flows better with the sibset, maybe because of the short-ness and syllables in Anna and Lila. Also because I’m just not a huge fan of Mirabelle, it’s a bit too cutesy for my tastes. I think Norah ages better with a baby to an adult.
My vote is for [name]Mirabelle[/name]! I think it goes really well with your other to children’ s names and I love the nicknames. I feel your baby girl can grow with the name as well. I can not really picture [name]Norah[/name] on a baby. Plus if you are hung up on it go with your gut. Other suggestions to work with your girls are…
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Arabella[/name] ([name]Ari[/name] for a nn)
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name] (this one is on my list, I love it)
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Cora[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Norah[/name] sounds perfect with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name].
Oh, I love [name]Norah[/name]! Especially with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name].
I guess I feel like [name]Norah[/name] fits better with [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name]. Actually, it almost fits TOO well, so that it’s a little boring to me to see all of them together, if that makes any sense? They already all rhyme so having the same “feel” of being a simple, classic, [name]Americana[/name] type of name maybe is too much. I kind of like how [name]Mira[/name] or [name]Miri[/name] has a bit of a different feel, yet is still a simple, 4-letter, ‘ah’ sound-ending name. To me, [name]Mira[/name] has a slightly Middle Eastern feel that’s ever so subtlely exotic.
[name]Mirabelle[/name] is lovely, definitely fancier than [name]Anna[/name]. Maybe spelling it as [name]Mirabel[/name] makes it just bit toned down so it’s not as flashy in comparison?
In the above list of suggestions, I also really like [name]Cora[/name], for being similar to your other 2 girls, but different enough to be distinctive.
With the vintage [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name], I would choose [name]Nora[/name] (this spelling is the original). [name]Mirabelle[/name] is a bit too frilly.
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Eva[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Cora[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Maia[/name]/[name]Maya[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Greta[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Freya[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Mara[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Stella[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Thea[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Sara[/name]/[name]Zara[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Flora[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Laura[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Rosa[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Petra[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Frida[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Vera[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Sonia[/name]/[name]Sonja[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Rhea[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Farah[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Nina[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Ciara[/name]/[name]Keira[/name]/[name]Kira[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Britta[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Thora[/name]
[name]Anna[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Vida[/name]/[name]Vita[/name]/[name]Zita[/name]
I prefer [name]Mirabelle[/name].
I love the names you’ve chosen for your two daughters especially [name]Lila[/name]. It’s been on my list for a while now. I prefer [name]Mirabelle[/name]. [name]Imo[/name] it fits better with your other girls and I also love the nn’s that go with it. Good luck
I forgot to ask: what are [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name]'s middles? If their middles are more fancy, and you put a simpler middle with [name]Mirabelle[/name] / [name]Mirabel[/name], maybe that would be more balanced out? But I really think if you’re mostly going to use [name]Mira[/name], it’s not any frillier than [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Lila[/name].
Either name would be lovely with your other daughters. [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] would be other options I like.
I agree with this post. Also I love the name [name]Nora[/name].
I would choose [name]Nora[/name] as the name that goes best with the sibset.
But, I think you really want to use [name]Mirabelle[/name], so I think that’s what you should do.
They’re both very lovely choices (though I much prefer the [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Mirabel[/name] spellings), you can’t go wrong. I would choose [name]Mirabel[/name] for you, as it seems to be your favourite, and I think [name]Nora[/name] might make your sibset a little bit too matchy. With [name]Mirabel[/name], she’d still have the option to be [name]Mira[/name] if she wanted a name like her sisters. Good luck!
I prefer [name]Nora[/name], but without the “h”.
I like [name]Mirabelle[/name] much, much better than [name]Norah[/name]! Like caroline, I’d use the [name]Mirabel[/name] spelling to take some of the frill out of it. I like the idea of using [name]Mira[/name] if she wants to match her sisters.
[name]Will[/name] this be your last child? If not, I’d avoid two-syllable names that end with A so you don’t get locked into a theme.
Personally, I dont really like either. [name]Mirabelle[/name] somehow always sounds like “Mirror ball” to me. And even though I know a [name]Norah[/name] under the age of 2…I always find it sounds like a name for a middle aged lady. It just doesn’t sound young to me.
I adore [name]Mirabelle[/name], but I don’t like it with your sibset. Would you consider using just [name]Mira[/name]? If so, that would be my vote. If not, I’d say go with [name]Norah[/name], which is a lovely name, and would complete your sibset nicely.
[name]IMO[/name], [name]Norah[/name] goes best with the other two.
