I love [name]Mira[/name] and [name]Randie[/name].
They’re all great, but [name]Mira[/name] seems most intuitive. Also like [name]Miri[/name].
Theres something about [name]Mandy[/name] that I think is adorable.
[name]Andi[/name]. Short, sweet, and wonderfully tomboyish!
I like [name]Mira[/name] a lot, though [name]Mandy[/name] and [name]Andy[/name] are sweet. Reeeeeally don’t care for [name]Randi[/name], though.
[name]Randi[/name] is the only one I absolutely cannot stand, but I was curious to see if it was “just me.”
I had never thought of [name]Andi[/name] altho it’s a bit too tomboyish for me. Or… maybe it has negative associations, Idk.
I’m surprised by how many have chosen [name]Mira[/name] over [name]Minda[/name], which is my fave right now. Altho [name]Mandy[/name] is growing on me… I agree, there is something sweet about it. It’s kind of so old and boring it’s new and fun.
If [name]Minda[/name] and [name]Mandy[/name], why not [name]Mindy[/name]?
Good one! Hadn’t thought of that either. This is one of those names with a billion nn options. It’s #1 on our list because it’s the first name I’ve mentioned that has gotten an “I like that” instead of “I could live with that.” Luckily our boy name is settled.
I like [name]Mira[/name]. I think [name]Randi[/name] and [name]Andi[/name] are silly and childish sounding. I don’t feel like it needs a nickname though. It’s not overly long or complicated.
I love love [name]Miranda[/name]! It was in my top 3 for my daughter. I always imagined the nn [name]Andi[/name]. I love boyish nns for girls.
I voted for [name]Manda[/name], but I also like [name]Mira[/name] and [name]Mimi[/name], although I much prefer [name]Andi[/name].
No reason she can’t have more than one nn though - I call both my girls by many different nns, varying from fairly sensible to very childish and silly.
I voted [name]Mira[/name], but I would have gone for [name]Miri[/name] had that been an option. [name]Mandy[/name]'s nice but I can see her being mistaken for an [name]Amanda[/name]. [name]Andi[/name] is a bit boyish and [name]Randi[/name], well, in my parts it’s slang for someone who’s in the mood for sex a lot. [name]Mimi[/name]'s a bit cutesy, I can’t see an adult going by it like the others.
[name]Mira[/name] doesn’t work for [name]Miranda[/name] because the [name]Mira[/name]'s are pronounced differently.
I love [name]Miranda[/name]. I don’t like [name]Randi[/name] either, but I think [name]Randa[/name] is kind of cute. But a difference a letter makes!
[name]Mira[/name] is my favorite. Or [name]Miri[/name]. They absolutely work.
I love [name]Mira[/name] or [name]Miri[/name]! I also like [name]Mimi[/name], but it doesn’t feel intuitive for [name]Miranda[/name] (I would assume her full name is [name]Miriam[/name] or something like that)
I voted for [name]Mira[/name].
[name]One[/name] that nobody has mentioned: [name]Anda[/name].
I met a girl named [name]Anda[/name] once. It was her full middle name that she went by, but I always thought that her name was short for [name]Miranda[/name].
[name]Miranda[/name] was one of the names that my mother had been considering for me, and even though I know it’s a lovely, Shakespearean name I always felt like I dodged a bullet with that one because I find the idea of “[name]Randi[/name]” to be so, so unappealing. I had a teacher in middle school who was [name]Miranda[/name] called [name]Randi[/name], and once her students found out they made fun of it behind her back.
[name]Mira[/name] is definitely my favorite nickname for [name]Miranda[/name].
I guess [name]Mira[/name] makes sense the most, but I like [name]Miri[/name] or Mir (said like the first syllable of the name). I think [name]Randi[/name] is terrible, argh. but really, I don’t think [name]Miranda[/name] really needs a nickname.
i like mira for a nickname - better than miranda in fact - miranda reminds me too much of the sex and the city character. it was on my list, but i finally had to take it off.
I’ve never even seen one Sex and the City episode so luckily it’s not a factor for me.
