Yeah I would choose [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] over [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] anytime. It’s a good name, it’s girly, classic, with lots and lots of potential nicknames. It’s a great choice.
I think [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] can be a pretty name, but you can’t ensure that her peers call her [name_f]Mira[/name_f] or [name_f]Andie[/name_f]. I work with a [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and she is sometimes called [name_f]Randa[/name_f] or [name_u]Randy[/name_u] which aren’t that pretty [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I’m just not fond of the ‘rand’ sound in the middle. Although, I definitely prefer it over [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f].
I quite like [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] but dislike [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f]. I do think of ‘[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]’ though but it is not that bad a connection.
Firstly I’d choose [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] over [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] any day, I actually dislike [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f].
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is a lovely name, she’s delicate and beautiful, screaming dreamy romance. I also adore the Shakespearean association. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nickname is [name_f]Mira[/name_f] but I wouldn’t necessarily shorten [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] as she doesn’t need to shortened which in away is kinda bizarrely refreshing. Anyhow [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is great.
I have a dislike to [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], due to me knowing a really trashy girl named that, but I think a nice girl could pull it off really well.
I would choose [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] just because I’m a fan of dark, mysterious names. But I love [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]; it’s classic yet colourful.
To me, [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is beautiful and Shakespearean–love [name_f]Mira[/name_f] as a nickname! Definitely prefer [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] to [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f].
‘[name_u]Randy[/name_u]’ would make my husband drop it as a possibility - it REALLY isn’t nice in this part of [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] at least. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think she’s really likely to be teased?
lol sorry. That and ‘[name_u]Randy[/name_u]’ were my only hesitations.
I’m glad a few people like [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] - I still do. But I’m also glad you find [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] pretty, classic, and not too flimsy.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] has the best flow of my possible combos, but [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] I. initial would be the winner on sentimental grounds. I just can’t think of a combo I especially love. Maybe [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] or [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] or [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] could maybe work. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] doesn’t flow with the surname, unfortunately.
I don’t know why, but there’s always something from stopping me love [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]…unfortunately I can never figure out what. However, I don’t hate the name. I would choose [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] over [name_f]Miranda[/name_f].
I want to like [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] so much. But I can’t, there is this mean girl at our school named [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and she goes around making everyone’s life a hell. So I’m sorry but I just can’t. If I didn’t have that connection with the name, I would love it. It’s very beautiful and for some reason I picture (other than the bad negative person) black noir movies. A very classic name with some edge.
I’d definitely pick [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] over [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f]. Since I’ve never watched the show, I don’t think of the Sex and the City character.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] doesn’t have any super cute nicknames but I don’t mind that.
