Still trying to conceive our first, and every day I find myself obsessed with a new name (usually a girl’s name…why are they so much more fun??). Today it’s [name]Mischa[/name] (MEE-shuh). I discovered it on these boards, in part because of the poster with the username [name]Mischa[/name] (shout-out! 
), and in part because it was discussed in a thread that I was reading. My husband, whose typical response to my name suggestions is, “Meh,” actually stopped and thought about this one and said, “I actually like that.” Any ideas for a middle name? I wanted to give a daughter the middle name [name]Jase[/name] to honor my husband, but [name]Mischa[/name] [name]Jase[/name] doesn’t flow off the tongue well. I feel like [name]Mischa[/name] is SUCH a Russian name that it would be odd paired with a non-Russian middle, but on the other hand we have NO Russian in our heritage and our last name is very English, so a very Russian combo may sound off. For some reason [name]Mischa[/name] [name]Benet[/name] keeps popping into my head (pronounced ben-AY, but has a tragic connection to JonBenet), or [name]Mischa[/name] [name]Monet[/name] (mo-NAY…but while I usually like alliteration I don’t know about this combo). Any other ideas? Also, would [name]Mika[/name] (MEE-kuh) sound better with a very Anglo last name instead of [name]Mischa[/name]?
I think that you can use [name]Mischa[/name] [name]Jase[/name]. It is a beautiful name, and quite honestly I do not necessarily connect the name with Russian heritage. I definitely prefer [name]Mischa[/name] to [name]Mika[/name]. [name]Mika[/name] is cute, but, she might have to spend a lot of time telling people her name is [name]Mika[/name] (MEE-kuh) as opposed to [name]Micah[/name], people have a hard time saying names sometimes.
Also, it sounds like both you and your husband love the name, so I say if it’s what you love go for it!
I think if you had two Russian names it wouldn’t sound well with your English last name. I think a one syllable middle name would sound great,

I actually really like [name]Mischa[/name] [name]Jace[/name]. It flows off the tongue perfectly!
