After watching the Miss [name_u]America[/name_u] pageant last night (no judgement - it’s a guilty pleasure!) The name Savvy has quickly made it into the top 5 on my list. I did a little search and found that it’s a moderately used nickname for [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], which I must admit isn’t a favorite of mine to use personally although I love it in certain sibsets.
I was just wondering what people thought of the name Savvy? I find it to be spunky yet something that I could see on a mature adult. Thoughts??
I like it as a NN for [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], Savitha or [name_f]Savina[/name_f] but I’m not overly fond of it as a stand alone name.
I think of Jack Sparrow
As a nickname I like it, but I don’t think I could get behind it as a full name.
I really like it, especially with a an S last name, as in Savvy Shields. It may be a little unusual as a stand alone name, but people adjust.
I know several Savannahs who go by Savvy, so to me the name is perfectly normal.
This exactly. I can’t really see it on an adult, either. It does feel on trend as a nickname, though—kind of fits in with all the Sadies.
