What do you think of [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f]?

This name is definitely not my normal style, but it is a big guilty pleasure.

I don’t think of The Hunchback of Notre Dame when I hear it/see it, I think of the song [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] by [name_m]Ben[/name_m] [name_u]Howard[/name_u]. Wind. Dark skies. A storm. Running down the beach in the rain. Big waves crashing on the shore.

If I ever got the chance to use it, it would be in the middle spot.

I’m not a fan, sorry. Too cartoonish. It doesn’t sound like a real name to me.

I like it, DH does not. I don’t think Hunchback of Notre Dame either; I think Emeralds and Spain. It feels exotic and frilly :slight_smile: I love the nn [name_f]Esme[/name_f] too. It’s perfect for the more adventurous middle.

I do think of Hunchback of Notre Dame, but as I’ve never seen the Disney movie, I don’t see it as cartoonish. It’s a gorgeous name, and with the nn [name_f]Esme[/name_f], it’s awesome!

I do think of the cartoon! But she is a very positive character and a good role model (fights for justice! Yah! Girl power!)
Anyway, I believe it is a very beautiful name!

I am not sure, sometimes I like it. It depends on the wearer of the name I suppose if that makes sense?

I would choose it over [name_f]Esme[/name_f] in a heartbeat though.

I guess if you like [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] you also could contemplate [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] as they are similar names.
