What do you think of Evergreen as a middle? Too out there / hippy ish?
I genuinely just adore the imagery and significance of a tree that has such powerful and beautiful consistency. Maybe I’m lame haha. Surely, no less usable than [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]?
[name_m]Ah[/name_m], thank you! I’m not crazy then. And I’ve always admired your childrens’ names and the names in your sig - so I trust your judgement entirely!
It’s certainly intriguing! I’m not sure I’d use it, but if [name_u]Everest[/name_u] and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] are used, why not Evergreen? I think something like [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] Evergreen/[name_m]Hugh[/name_m] Evergreen would be fantastic!
That’s a very creative and - imo- handsome name choice!
It definitely fits with current trends - vowel names, “Ev-” prefix, nature names, but is not widely used. While nature names are not always my style, this one has such a great sound, it’s really growing on me!
I think it is fine as a middle- quite lovely actually. As long you go for a slightly more traditional route for the first name ([name_m]George[/name_m] Evergreen is perfect!) I don’t see why it wouldn’t be fantastic as a middle and not super hippie (as someone who lives quite close to a very ‘hippy’ town, I consider myself a bit of an authority on this :)). In other words, as long as the total name isn’t along the lines of [name_u]Zen[/name_u]-[name_u]Ocean[/name_u]-[name_f]Chakra[/name_f]-[name_u]Diversity[/name_u]-Moonstone Evergreen Lastname, I’d say you’re fine.
I like the idea. Evergreen sounds happy, fresh and unexpected, and it fits your style. I think it matches some of your other choices nicely. [name_m]George[/name_m] Evergreen is a handsome combo.
As much as I want to like it, it doesn’t feel terribly sensible, and as much I like your reasoning for it, I also love Evergreen trees and the strength and endurance they represent, naming a boy Evergreen, even in the middle might not be the best idea. Being ‘green’ isn’t necessarily a great thing in some contexts, and being ‘forever green’ could be worse!
I would like to suggest, since I love where you are coming from, to consider using a type of evergreen tree name to achieve the same meaning without such a literal word name.
For example,
[name_u]Cedar[/name_u], [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] (Fir), Hemlock, [name_m]Fraser[/name_m] (Fir), [name_m]Noble[/name_m] (Fir), [name_f]Cypress[/name_f], the list could go on! There are so many types/species of evergreen trees!
Ok weirdest thing. Today I randomly thought of this as a middle name! Completely out of the blue. My mom is visiting and I [name_m]JUST[/name_m] walked into her room and said “you’ll probably think I’m crazy but I just thought of the cutest name! [name_u]Noah[/name_u] Evergreen!” She agreed it was adorable. I applauded myself for coming up with such a unique and useable name. Then i saw this lol!
