We are expecting our second son any day now (due date is Oct. 24th) and are still struggling with names. The front-runner right now is [name]Arthur[/name], what MN do you think would go well with it? My son’s name is [name]Isaac[/name] [name]Emile[/name] (i’m French Canadian and we wanted a French MN). The MN doesn’t have to be French, though it would be nice.
We thought of
[name]Philippe[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
You have so many great choices. I would select something that looks unambiguously French when written (like [name]Philippe[/name], but not [name]Thomas[/name]).
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Philippe[/name] is great. [name]Do[/name] you plan on pronouncing [name]Arthur[/name] in English or in French? My DD also has a bilingual name and we mostly use the French pronunciation but anglophones obviously pronounce it in English.
Thanks for your inputs! For those who proposed [name]Blaise[/name]: you made my husband happy! He would love this MN, but I just can’t go for it!
MissV: I would pronounce it in French and my husband in English- like we do for [name]Isaac[/name]- since we both speak our respective languages to him.
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Philippe[/name] is in the lead right now, thanks for your opinions!
