MN for Calpurnia nn "Callie"?

We’re pretty much decided on Calpurnia as a first name, nn “[name_f]Callie[/name_f]”. We had decided on [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] as a middle name. My husband LOVES [name_f]Nyx[/name_f], but my mom said it sounds like the lice shampoo brand [name_f]Nix[/name_f]. I’m trying to ignore what she said, but now I can’t seem to break the association between [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] and lice!

Any other suggestions like [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] (it means night)? Since Calpurnia is long, we were looking for something short. Older sibling is [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]. We want to find a mythical/dark/rebellious mn, something to match [name_f]Faye[/name_f] and balance the girlishness of Calpurnia/[name_f]Callie[/name_f]. We already have a cat named [name_u]Raven[/name_u], so that’s out.

Thanks!

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Lux[/name_f], it’s extremely similar. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] Calpurnia.

What about Nox. Same idea and sound, just not the same connotation.

[name_f]Lux[/name_f] makes me think of [name_u]Lex[/name_u] [name_m]Luther[/name_m], and Nox sounds too masculine. I don’t mind finding something that sounds different from [name_f]Nyx[/name_f].

What about…

Calpurnia’s great! I love [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] (on my own list!), sad you can’t use it. But here are some names that I think matches the dark enchantingness of [name_f]Faye[/name_f] (also love!).
