MN for Emmeline

We have officially decided on [name]Emmeline[/name] for our second girls name.

We don’t necessarily want to go with a “theme” with mn, but we are in love with [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Lillian[/name] and we obviously have an [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Bryony[/name].

We like [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name]…wdyt? If you’re not a fan, a suggestion would be great. Thanks!

[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] is lovely! I think that both names are beautiful, and they flow wonderfully together. The only problems I see are that [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name] are a bit close (the [name]Em[/name]- and Im- beginnings sound similar to me), and that some think of [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] when they hear “[name]Dahlia[/name].” Otherwise, I think it’s great! For other floral middles, [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Flora[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Marigold[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Poppy[/name], and [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Violet[/name] are lovely (with [name]Bryony[/name] and [name]Lillian[/name], I would use another flower name, personally), and I like [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Alice[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Julia[/name] for non-floral names.

We have [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Kate[/name], it was a last minute, birth records lady in the room, mn change from [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] is cute too.

[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] sounds very nice. The only problem I forsee is that both girls ([name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name]) may be called [name]Emmy[/name]/[name]Immy[/name] by friends, even if you don’t call them that. That seems like it could be very confusing. I love all of your names though!

Not a fan of what you have, but only because I dont like the middle name very much, but it flows fine. What about [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Gwendolyn[/name]/[name]Gwen[/name] or [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Bianca[/name]? [name]Bianca[/name] flows beautifully and it just happens to be my favourite name.

So, are you using [name]Emmeline[/name] instead of [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Lillian[/name]? I’m confused, because you just said you love that one.

Anyway, I like the flow of [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Bentley[/name], but I don’t always care for [name]Dahlia[/name] because of the [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] murder connections. Here are some other ideas:

[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Daffodil[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Gardenia[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Hyacinth[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Marigold[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Violet[/name]

I love [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Juniper[/name], especially, but both [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Violet[/name] would be stunning with her sister’s name.

No, we aren’t using [name]Emmeline[/name] instead of [name]Beatrice[/name]…
I wrote/did a post called “Umm…”, that explains everything.

I love [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name]…but agree that [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name] are close in nature. However, I do think you are calling your first girl “[name]Gen[/name]” so this would help distinguish them.

Hey, here is my post from your other thread:

Wow, [name]Bryony[/name]! From a twin to an expectant mom of twins, I offer you my sincere congratulations!

Okay, so you mentioned in your other thread that you had decided on [name]Emmeline[/name], a name I love, but I share some of the concerns of other posters about the closeness of [name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name]. You asked if we had ideas, and here are some of mine:

[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Lillian[/name], and…

Also loved the [name]Shakespeare[/name] idea, so here are my thoughts:

[name]Margaret[/name] - From Much [name]Ado[/name] About Nothing, like [name]Beatrice[/name]. Fun connection for twins!

Or, some more ideas:

My favorites with [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] are [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Georgina[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Margaret[/name], and [name]Ramona[/name]. I especially love [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], and [name]Ramona[/name]! So, so perfect together, if you ask me. For flower middle names, I’d also stick with that three-syllable pattern, and some I like are:

I also think the very classic [name]Violet[/name] fits perfectly with [name]Bryony[/name] and [name]Lillian[/name], though the natural [name]Clementine[/name] would be fun, too. So, overall, I’d pick [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Violet[/name], [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Marigold[/name], [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Violet[/name], [name]Ramona[/name] [name]Violet[/name], or [name]Ramona[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] for [name]Gen[/name] and [name]Bea[/name]'s sister! [name]Louisa[/name] would be nice so all three girls have one-syllable nicknames - [name]Gen[/name], [name]Bea[/name], and [name]Lou[/name], though they could use the two-syllable [name]Immy[/name], [name]Beah[/name], and [name]Lulu[/name], too! [name]Just[/name] some ideas…
