[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
I need some help coming up with a MN for [name]Louise[/name]. Some potential family names for the MN spot could be: [name]Ann[/name], [name]Mae[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Eva[/name], [name]Leigh[/name], and [name]Grace[/name]. I feel like some of these flow better as FN’s with [name]Louise[/name] as the MN, unless in your opinion they sound fine? I really would like to use [name]Louise[/name] as a FN because I love the NN [name]Lulu[/name] and would mostly be using that. [name]IMO[/name] it might be confusing if someone went by a NN of their MN, and had a completely different FN. I would say my style is traditional/vintage. and I’m not really into crazy spellings. . Thanks!
Depending on the rhythm of your last name, I’m not sure I like [name]Louise[/name] with a single-syllable first name. If I had to choose from your list, I’d say [name]Louise[/name] [name]Ann[/name] and [name]Louise[/name] [name]Mae[/name] sound the best (I surprisingly don’t care for [name]Louise[/name] [name]Eva[/name] despite the syllable count). Actually, the more I look at it, I do REALLY like [name]Louise[/name] [name]Mae[/name], probably because of [name]Louise[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name], author of [name]Little[/name] Women! Have you considered using a variation of the potential middle names? Examples:
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Annette[/name]
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Rosaline[/name]
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Gracelynn[/name]
Thanks for your comments! I think I like [name]Louise[/name] [name]Mae[/name] the best too, and [name]Louise[/name] [name]Ann[/name]. I also thought of [name]Louise[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]. My last name is 2 syllables if that makes a difference. I like the suggestion of [name]Annette[/name], very pretty.
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Louise[/name] [name]Ann[/name]/[name]Annette[/name] are very pretty. I love [name]Annette[/name] but couldn’t seem to work into any of my name combos! [name]Louise[/name]/[name]Louisa[/name] is a new love of mine. My husband wanted to use it to honor his grandma and first I said no, but it grew on me!!
What about [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Mae[/name]? I know it’s a different first name, but [name]IMO[/name] it flows better and you can still use [name]Lulu[/name]??
If not, I like [name]Louise[/name] [name]Mae[/name]!
Are you open to [name]Louisa[/name]? I feel like [name]Louisa[/name] has better flow with some of these, especially with a 2 syllable last name. 3-1-2 is such a nice rhythm and [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Grace[/name] or [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Mae[/name] with a 2 syllable name would be lovely! Nothing against [name]Louise[/name] on its own I just wonder if that is part of your trouble in finding a middle name to fit?
I must admit to kind of digging [name]Louise[/name] [name]Leigh[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Leigh[/name]. Too alliterative for some I’m sure but for me it works, with the L’s.
Good luck!
[name]Louise[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] + [name]Louise[/name] [name]Mae[/name] are my favourites; although I love the suggestion of [name]Eloise[/name]! [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Mae[/name] + [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Eva[/name] are nice:)x
I was thinking the same thing. I like [name]Louisa[/name] a lot more than I like [name]Louise[/name].
This might not fit your style, but what about honoring two family members by using Avonlea in the middle spot? Nice literary association and is like a combo of [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Leigh[/name].
[name]Louise[/name] Avonlea or [name]Louisa[/name] Avonlea is so pretty to me!
Thanks for all of the feedback! I love the suggestions of [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name]…I’ll have to run it by DH.
