I have [name_m]Peter[/name_m] on my shortlist, but I’ve been having a rough time coming up with combos. Any ideas? I’ve had about four solid combos that I may fall back on, but since I have serious doubts about each one for varying reasons, I’m holding back on sharing them until I get a couple of ideas. Here’s a link to my list–for reference/inspiration, and what not to use. Vote on Name Lists at BabyNames.com
Anyway. What goes with [name_m]Peter[/name_m], do you think?
@opelle - not far off! I really love [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], actually, and if [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] didn’t seem so grandpa/nerdy to me, I would seriously consider it, too. ([name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] was one of them I was considering–I love it!–but I already have [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] Frédéric [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] on my list.) I think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] Léonard, the [name_m]French[/name_m] form, would be darling, but yeah. I already have [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]/[name_m]Leo[/name_m], so I feel like more than one [name_m]Leo[/name_m] form is overkill, haha!
@12[three]names - Thank you! [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot/name_u is actually one I’m considering, too, but I’ve been thinking about [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] as a FN, and I think I like the idea of [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [something] together more than [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] in one combo. I also like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Noam[/name_m] (or maybe [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Noah[/name_u]?) and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] quite a lot. And [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Auden[/name_u] (especially [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_u]Auden[/name_u]!), but I can’t really see me using either.
My brother’s name is [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]–there is a singer with that name, but he’s generally a good guy and a humanitarian/philanthropist.
Thanks, everyone! I like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Santiago[/name_m], and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Ian[/name_m].
@hermione_vader - le sigh. I love [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]–and I had considered it before–but [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]'s my MN for [name_u]Rory[/name_u], so I’d rather not repeat it. I sort of like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Stellan[/name_m], too, but I feel like I only like it because [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] invariably reminds me of [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] Skarsgaard, which invariably reminds me of the Avengers, whom I adore. I feel like it might be too geeky of an association, lol.
@adelina_sophia - I love [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m], too! But since [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] is a FN on my list, I’m trying to avoid using it as a MN (or any [name_m]Leo[/name_m] name, honestly). Which makes me sad, because I think [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] is brilliant, but yeah. I like [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] a lot, but I sort of wonder if it’s too many popular Bible names together? Does it sound like the start of a list of [name_m]New[/name_m] Testament Bible names? Also, I have both [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] and Matheus on my list as middles ([name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] Matheus and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] [something]), so I feel like I shouldn’t add [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] or [name_m]Mathieu[/name_m], even though I love them, haha.
