Can anyone come up with some good combos for [name]Basil[/name] and [name]Clive[/name]? I think these old-fashioned boy’s names are really cute and ready for a comeback. Anyone agree?
I like [name]Basil[/name] alot, [name]Clive[/name] makes me think of the actor [name]Clive[/name] [name]Owen[/name] which off sets the original feeling of too old-fashioned.

I really like [name]Clive[/name]. It sounds a little musty at first, but I can really picture it on a boy and then a man. [name]Basil[/name] will be hard to pull off. It’s a name that’s fun to think about as a parent, but could be really hard to live with. Of course, he’ll probably end up as [name]Baz[/name] which is pretty cool.

If I was ten times braver than I actually am I would call a boy [name]Basil[/name] in a heartbeat. I love it so much.

The only reason I wouldn’t use [name]Basil[/name] is that our last name stars with L and the part after the L is a word on it’s own and doesn’t flow as well as it could, but [name]Baz[/name] Lastname works lovely!
[name]Just[/name] wanted to add here that my husband LIKES [name]Philip[/name] [name]Basil[/name] with calling him [name]Baz[/name]! Yippeee!!
That combination reminds me of basil and chives, but it appears that I am the only one with that reaction.
I had that thought too, but I like both names a lot so I didn’t bother to mention it 
I’d love to see a baby [name]Clive[/name] or [name]Basil[/name] too much to really go out and try and convince parents considering either that they should think again, but I guess the damage is done now you said it? 
[name]Clive[/name] is awesome, and the [name]Basil[/name] and Chives thing could easily be turned into something cute
