Still really loving [name_m]Grant[/name_m], but I’m feeling more and more that it’s going to be hard to find a combo I can really love as much as I love [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. (And the whole lack of a combo is making [name_m]Grant[/name_m] much less appealing atm!) What would you pair with [name_m]Grant[/name_m], as a middle name? Nothing I can think of really wows me–[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], etc. are some options I’ve tossed around, but none of them are very appealing. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] or possibly [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] are my favorite options, but I’m not sure I can really see using either. I feel like maybe I should just give up and use [name_m]Grant[/name_m] as a middle, but I was loving [name_m]Grant[/name_m] way more than all the other options I had ([name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_m]Linus[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]). I find it so easy to use [name_m]Grant[/name_m] as a middle–it goes with so many things!–and so hard to pair it up as a FN.
These are the full combos on my list–any suggestions for a combo that sort of feels the same as these–quirky, but traditional, sensitive, but smart, innocent? Biblical, family, and literature ties are all over my list, so any ties to those would fit right in, I feel. I’m just really stumped with [name_m]Grant[/name_m], and I really don’t want to let him go.
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Zane[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] (although I’ve been thinking of replacing [name_m]Cole[/name_m] with [name_m]Grant[/name_m], [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], or possibly [name_m]Fitzwilliam[/name_m] (or [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]?))
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]/[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Gaspard[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Boaz[/name_m] _____ ______ (had been thinking of [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], but still not convinced with that)
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_m]Brody[/name_m] ______ _____
I love [name_m]Grant[/name_m]! When considering middles I thought of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m].
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Hill[/name_m], my favorite basketball player ever, has a full name of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
The problem for me is that [name_m]Grant[/name_m] is a word so I think my head has a difficult time with turning it into a name. It does a little bit of “grant matthew…a wish” which makes all the combos sound funny. It was the same as when I was considering [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] for a middle name for my [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] combination and my husband said, “uh, that’s a sentence…” Meaning [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is a bell. Ugh… ruined. My brain can’t change it back!
Obviously, [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] would be a favorite of your combos as it is one I have thought of already and rolls off my tongue easily. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is also handsome! Good luck on your search.
This is a tough one. I do really like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], but if that is not the one, maybe…
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Samson[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
@september - ooh, I sort of like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]! It’d probably be [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [something] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], but [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is the name of the street I grew up on, so it feels quite sentimental to me. I’m thinking [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], but I seem to try and put [name_u]Elias[/name_u] or [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] or [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] everywhere!
I personally like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] best!
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] is on my list too!
[name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like it! That’s a cool coincidence that you have a personal connection to [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is great! Or if you don’t want to use [name_u]Elias[/name_u]…maybe [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]?
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] is nice… unfortunately, my brother is a big fan of Duck Dynasty, so much as I like [name_m]Silas[/name_m], I can’t see using it because all I think of is Uncle [name_u]Si[/name_u]! I am really loving [name_m]Grant[/name_m] ______ [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] _____ [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], though! Any other MN ideas? I was thinking something that starts with a vowel, particularly an “E”? I like the idea of [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]… Maybe? I love [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_u]Elisha[/name_u] in the Bible–such cool little old men, full of fire and grit and passion. Calling down fire from heaven and then hiding in caves; taking care of poor widows. They were both humble and fierce, and maybe that’s why I like so many variants of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]–he was a great namesake! I’m just not sure about [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] or [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]… although I do like them more than [name_m]JUST[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], if that makes sense…
I was thinking about maybe [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]/[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], too. I love [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] for its meaning, and the tie to [name_m]Mozart[/name_m], who is my favorite composer. It always feels like way too much name, though… And [name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]/[name_m]Grant[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? Or is [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] just too much literature with [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] ([name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Conrad[/name_m]) or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] ([name_m]Oscar[/name_m] Wilde; [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_m]Wilder[/name_m])?
