I finally caved and added [name_f]Lila[/name_f] back to my list (I took her off on a whim, after a distant cousin named her daughter [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], but I’ve realized how ridiculous it is, as I see that little [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] once a year, if I’m lucky, and there is virtually no overlap at all!) a while back, but I’m still struggling to come up with a combo that’s as lovely as she is. When I’d first had [name_f]Lila[/name_f] on my list, my combo had been [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], which is ridiculously lovely, but doesn’t feel quite right this time. I’d toyed around with [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] for a while–[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]'s a much-beloved family name–but she isn’t as special or lovely as I was hoping she’d be.
I tried out [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u], and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], but none of those seem quite right. I’m tossing about [name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] (rosa-leen) today, which might have some merit, but eh. Any ideas for a truly lovely middle name for [name_f]Lila[/name_f]? I’d prefer a mn on the longer side, as most of the family names I’d like to pair with it are on the shorter side ([name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], etc.).
Thanks, Berries!
