I’ve noticed there are some mods who reopen threads just to give their opinion. [name_f]Pam[/name_f] and [name_f]Linda[/name_f], is this allowed? This happened to me on a thread I posted about a month or two ago. I closed a thread because I made up my mind, and then a mod reopened it just so they can give their opinion.
I don’t think that behaviour is fair or acceptable and should be discouraged. If a person closed their own thread, then the policy should be that it remain closed.
What thread are you referring to, [name_f]Em[/name_f]? I haven’t noticed this happening. Doesn’t mean it hasn’t, but I haven’t noticed it. EDIT – I went and looked at your threads and figured out which one it was.
Now I have noticed that even when a thread is closed, as a mod I still have the reply box underneath and there have been a few times when I didn’t noticed a thread was closed because I still had the reply box there >.< So maybe said mod just didn’t realize that the thread was closed.
I also think that perhaps, if you have a big problem with it, you should email Pam or Linda directly.
I haven’t done it (at least I don’t know for sure) but I probably wouldn’t notice that it was closed. If it was me, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to comment.
I’m guessing you’re talking about me because I checked your closed threads and I’m the only mod that commented on one after you. I commented 19 minutes after you closed the thread and the same exact day you closed it. I wasn’t aware that it was closed because I had the tab left open in my screen and left. I came back and commented afterwards.
