I’m sitting here trying to focus long enough to put together a presentation (the universal struggle of high school seniors) on The British Invasion, and The Kinks got me thinking about how fun it is to say and sing the name [name]Lola[/name].
I was wondering how well you think [name]Matilda[/name] nn [name]Molly[/name] and _______ nn [name]Lola[/name] would go together.
I also wouldn’t be adverse to suggestions for a full name. (:
While I don’t think there’s anything wrong with [name]Lola[/name] and actually really like [name]Molly[/name], those are both names that are frequently used on dogs. Granted, this mental image is based on my own personal experiences, and I probably wouldn’t think it about either of the names on its own, but [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] make me picture two English bulldogs.
I thought of this, too. I love [name]Lola[/name], and I can appreciate [name]Molly[/name], but together, I think people would think “dogs” (even worse if [name]Sadie[/name] was added to the mix). 
I was also thinking that [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Lola[/name] sounded sort of similar, too, with all the "L"s and "O"s. Either way, I think [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name], nn [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Lola[/name], would be cute together. I also love [name]Violet[/name]/[name]Viola[/name]/[name]Violetta[/name], [name]Laurel[/name]/[name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Willow[/name], [name]Elodie[/name]/[name]Eloise[/name], etc. are cute ways to get to [name]Lola[/name], too. I think [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name] would be brilliant together.

I like [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Lola[/name], but I think they work better as nicknames as you’re suggesting. Otherwise they feel a bit tacky to me. I didn’t really think of dogs, just the numerous parents I’ve seen out and about with a little [name]Lola[/name] or [name]Molly[/name]. My first association with [name]Lola[/name], though, is the childrens cartoon [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Lola[/name].
I think [name]Matilda[/name] is lovely, my suggestions for a name for the nickname [name]Lola[/name] would be: [name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Willow[/name], [name]Lorraine[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Viola[/name], [name]Laurel[/name], [name]Leonie[/name]/[name]Leona[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Lolita[/name], [name]Delores[/name] (I knew of a [name]Delores[/name] nn [name]Lola[/name]), [name]Louisa[/name]/[name]Louise[/name].
I really like [name]Willow[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Violet[/name]/[name]Viola[/name], [name]Chloe[/name], and [name]Louisa[/name] (though I prefer [name]Luisa[/name]).
However, I think only [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Violet[/name]/[name]Viola[/name], and [name]Luisa[/name] are the only ones that work with [name]Matilda[/name].
Does [name]Luisa[/name] still work to get to [name]Lola[/name]?
