They spent the first week of young Remi’s life together with [name_u]Max[/name_u] sleeping on Roni’s couch, but once the week was through [name_u]Max[/name_u] went home & back to work. [name_u]Roni[/name_u] & [name_u]Remi[/name_u] visit [name_u]Max[/name_u] every [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] though. Once [name_u]Remi[/name_u] is older she plans on putting a little more distance between the visits though having them be maybe once a month or every other weekend.

The past 3 months have been hard on [name_u]Roni[/name_u]. It is not easy to raise a baby alone, but luckily [name_u]Remi[/name_u] is a mostly zen baby. He mostly only cries when he is extremely sleepy, but if you rock him & play some music softly in the background he tends to fall asleep quickly. [name_u]Roni[/name_u] & [name_u]Remi[/name_u] have just gotten into a sort of routine, so she feels like she is kind of starting to get a hang of this motherhood thing.

[name_u]Roni[/name_u] intends to work very hard & try to give her son the best life she can. She hopes to push him to follow all of his dreams even those that are short lived & try all of the hobbies he would like until he finds one that clicks. Personally, she loved playing soccer growing up & hopes to see him play it someday, but will not force it upon him.

[name_f]Starleen[/name_f] [name_f]Maryjane[/name_f] [name_m]Norman[/name_m] (31) is expecting her first child with her partner [name_f]Siera[/name_f] [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] Whitehead (31). The two women have been together since high school, the first two girls to come out in their small town. They attended the same university in the big city & got their degrees in different fields, Starleen’s in Politcal [name_u]Science[/name_u] & Siera’s in Molecular Biology. After spending 4 years in a major city the girls knew they weren’t cut out for city life & decided to start their lives in a more rural area, just not the one they grew up in.

Starleen’s wife, [name_f]Siera[/name_f], is a wiz in the kitchen. Always fixing up any & all of Starleen’s pregnancy cravings. She has even gone so far as to make homemade ice cream (though it was pickle flavored). [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] has tried to encourage her wife to pursue her true passion of being a chef, but no such luck. Still though, [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] can’t help but to daydream about [name_f]Siera[/name_f] & their unborn child working together in the kitchen cooking & baking together all day long. She is excited to watch [name_f]Siera[/name_f] become a mother & teach their baby everything she knows.

[name_f]Starleen[/name_f] is excited to become a mother as well. It wasn’t something she ever thought she would do as a little girl, but after falling in love with [name_f]Siera[/name_f] there was nothing more she wanted than to have a large family with her. [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] is currently 6 months along, so she is do very soon and she is full of anticipation. The gender of the baby is still unkown. [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] wanted a small personal gender reveal, but [name_f]Siera[/name_f] wanted to wait to find out the gender which [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] respected. Still she has considered peeking herself & just keeping it a secret from her wife, but she felt it would be wrong to do so. She’s not sure she can wait very much longer though.

[name_f]Starleen[/name_f] & [name_f]Siera[/name_f] hope to keep with the current theme & give baby a name that begins with letter ‘S’. Because they do not know the gender they have also been looking for something gender neutral. [name_f]Starleen[/name_f] has decided she would like the baby to take on her partner’s last name as well.

[name_f]Starleen[/name_f] has also decided she would like a home birth. The couple have plans to check into an air bnb in the city around the time of baby’s due date, so they can be closer to their midwife and doula. They have spoken over the phone with the owners and have gotten their permission to give birth at their property.

What she hasn’t told anyone yet is that she is pregnant with triplets. She recently found out that all three babies are boys.

[name_f]Amity[/name_f] and her husband suffer from infertility of both female factor and male factor so conceiving needed to be aided by fertility drugs, this is how [name_f]Amity[/name_f] became pregnant both times. Her pregnancy with the quads was fraught with medical appointments and hospital stays, thankfully now, though she’s still considered high risk, she’s been able to have a much more relaxed pregnancy as she’s only expecting half the babies this time, B/B twins. This has given the couple the confidence to initiate a trip to spend time with Lilyana’s family, who live out of state and had to return home not that long after [name_m]Angus[/name_m] was welcomed, meaning there’s spoiling to be made up for!

After an unsuccessful round of IVF a year ago, they decided to wait before trying again, partially as [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] didn’t want it to become an obsession to contend with. At eighteen, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] was diagnosed with OCD - which doesn’t appear in the stereotypical manner people ask her about when she brings it up - and she can worry about becoming preoccupied with certain things, especially milestones in life.

Her wife was one of the few people [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] felt understood this when she revealed it to her. At the time they were just friends - meeting at a party held by a mutual acquaintance - but their bond began to take on a romantic edge the more time they spent alone together. Having quite common names, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and her wife have decided on something classic and quirky for their baby: to help them stand out quickly, but at the same time, not receive unwanted attention.

Though he is only a few days old his moms have a feeling he is going to grow up so fast and are taking in every single moment.

Kourtni is an artist who specializes in ceramics. She works as an instructor teaching pottery classes twice a week. She also makes and sells her own creations on Facebook Marketplace & Etsy. She does well enough that she make a living off of that alone, but she enjoys teaching & seeing the creative spark in others’ eyes.

Kourtni always wanted to be a mother, so her 4 children are truly dreams come true. She feels grateful and lucky that her body carried her through 4 pregnancies & her & her babies remained healthy through each one. She is also saddened as this will be her final set of firsts. The last first time feeling the baby kick, the last first word, the last first steps.

Kourtni’s last delivery went very smoothly much to her relief and he’s been a very relaxed baby. She’s been able to wear him in a sling and continue to work in her studio a few times a week when she feels up for it, though she’s still effectively on maternity leave. Knowing her final pregnancy is behind her is a little saddening, but Kourtni and her husband are too excited with all the firsts they have to look forward to to dwell on it too much.

Her and her husband already have the nursery set up, mainly because it’s actually still in use. This pregnancy was unexpected, but not unwelcome. His delivery was planned to be in a birthing center but when Harper’s water broke in the middle of the night during the hurry to get ready to leave for the center, [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] apparently decided he wouldn’t be waiting and he was caught by his father in the foyer of the home. The entire labor was so quick and sudden [name_u]Harper[/name_u] actually didn’t feel much pain to her shock. She’s glad that her final delivery was a smooth, albeit chaotic, one and is looking forward to settling in with her son and learning how their new dynamic as a family of five will be.

Growing up with just one sister she always wanted a small family, but life had other plans. They are expecting a boy, a brother for [name_m]Mackie[/name_m]. She’s delighted about baby brother and can’t wait to show him the dolls and the kitchen her dad created for her in her bedroom.

His mother went into labor while enjoy a bit of the [name_u]Kauai[/name_u] sunshine with her husband when she felt the beginnings of labor. Though her labor started much earlier than anticipated, her laboring itself took its time. [name_f]Haumea[/name_f] was in labor for nearly eighteen hours before [name_u]Koa[/name_u] was at last placed into her arms. Despite all the stress of the early labor and the pain of her length labor, she and her husband are both delighted to have their baby boy with them and have already noticed that he’s as energetic as his mother.
