Monroe, Dakota, or Scarlet?

Well, me and my friend are writing a romance story at the moment, and we can’t decide on the main character’s name!!!

This character has dark brown hair cut short like [name]Emma[/name] [name]Watson[/name] style, and rectangle glasses and brown eyes. She’s pretty tall for her age, and drops out of high school to be with her boyfriend.

Which suits her better, [name]Monroe[/name]? [name]Dakota[/name]? or [name]Scarlet[/name]?

I would personally remove [name]Monroe[/name], to me it reads boy. I really think [name]Dakota[/name] fits her best because [name]Scarlet[/name] is really girly. I depends on what your characterization of the character is. Other suggestions:

[name]Noa[/name]
Flicka nn for [name]Felicity[/name]/[name]Felicia[/name] etc…
[name]Charlie[/name]
[name]Thea[/name]

I think [name]Monroe[/name] fits the best(haha totally the opposite of @lovelywren! ) She seems like she is a bit tomboyish with her style, a bit rebelish because she dropped out of school, and just a bit"'I don’t really care what you think" ish. I agree that [name]Scarlett[/name] is too feminine, but I think [name]Dakota[/name] is a bit too…sharp? I’ve never really been a fan of the name. [name]Monroe[/name] seems boyish but soft at the same time. Someone named [name]Monroe[/name] to me seems like they will do whatever they want, and no one can change their mind.

Does this help at all? Did I totally bomb the characteristics of the girl? Haha

I actually think [name]Scarlet[/name] suits her. [name]Monroe[/name] and [name]Dakota[/name] are both boys names to me. [name]Scarlet[/name] is nice.
