I’ve had [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] on my list for forever, but haven’t been able to find the perfect middle. I started to think about [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. I like that it lends itself to nickname MJ, it feels sleek, unisex and vintage. But considering Marilyn’s real name was [name_f]Norma[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and her idol was another starlet, [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_u]Harlow[/name_u], is this combo just too Marilyn/Old Hollywood?
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] does have a big Old Hollywood vibe, but it’s balanced and sleek and I think it could work

Unfortunately I’m leaning more towards yes, just because I feel like people may think it’s intentionally meant to honor her. Though generally people don’t hear middle names, so if it’s your top pick I think it could still work fine so long as you’re prepared for the occasional [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] comment

I wouldn’t immediately make the connection although older generations might. But the name itself is solid so if you’re okay with some comments now and again, it would be fine!
Yes, it immediately makes me think of [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] (more so than [name_u]Jean[/name_u] Harlow).
I do like the cadence, the Old Hollywood vibes, & the possible “MJ” nickname… How about [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u]? It has a similar vintage-y feel.

Personally I thinkits fine. Yes it does have a [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] vibe. But I feel like the general populace doesnt know [name_f]Norma[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] was her original name. And as other have said you dont regularly use your middle name in day to day life.
And [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] in and of itself is going to give [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] vibes. So my personal attitude towards it would be ‘why worry’
I think it is fine. I didn’t know until you told me, sooo. But I don’t think many people will notice, I know someone called [name_f]Kylie[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].

What a lovely combo! I know a young [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] and it suits her perfectly - definitely not too [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u].

I don’t think it’s too Marilyn; some people might make the connection, but it’s not too strong. Most people wouldn’t even know her middle name!
I think it’s lovely! I also think, so what if it’s too [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]? I’m a [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] fan anyway! The younger generation are less likely to comment. [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f] is unlikely to be a major influence in their lives.
