Monte?

Looking for honest opinions on the name [name_m]Monte[/name_m] (sounds the same as “[name_m]Monty[/name_m]”)

It’s our favourite as of right now, and we’re testing the waters.

We like gender non-specific names and are also considering:

[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_u]Adrien[/name_u] (or maybe [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f])
[name_m]Idris[/name_m]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] ([name_u]Frankie[/name_u])
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_u]Simone[/name_u]
…and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] … lol … it’s a great song and abbreviates to gender non-specific “[name_u]Jo[/name_u]” ?

Thanks for your thoughts!

[name_m]Monte[/name_m] is the Spanish word for mountain, mount or woods. It’s pronounced MOAN-teh and would be rather awkward. [name_u]Simone[/name_u], [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] are great though!

I love [name_u]Jo[/name_u] on a girl. Not [name_m]Monte[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Monte[/name_m], but for a boy.

From your list, my fave is [name_u]River[/name_u]! So beautiful!

I do not like the name [name_m]Monte[/name_m] for a girl. [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] and [name_u]Simone[/name_u] are great, though.

I’m not liking [name_m]Monte[/name_m] for a girl. I do, however, like unisex names.

Maybe:
[name_u]Landry[/name_u]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_m]Cayson[/name_m]
[name_m]Layton[/name_m]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]

Not a fan, sorry. I think of [name_m]Monty[/name_m] Python.

[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_f]Mallory[/name_f]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]

I love [name_m]Monte[/name_m], but only as a nickname for [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]. Out of your other names I like [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_m]Idris[/name_m] and [name_u]Adrien[/name_u].

I’m not a fan of [name_m]Monty[/name_m], sorry. But I do like [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] better. What do you think about more popular unisex names like [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]?

I’m not a fan of [name_m]Monte[/name_m], either. Reminds me of [name_m]Monty[/name_m] Python and the phrase “the full monty.” I like a lot of the other names on your list, though, especially [name_u]Adrien[/name_u], [name_u]Simone[/name_u] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. I’m also a fan of [name_u]Marty[/name_u]/[name_u]Marti[/name_u] for girls, which is kind of similar.
