Month, Day and Season Names?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity and for a bit of fun - what are your favourite month, day and seasonal names? In English or any language. Here are a few questions if you’re unsure what I mean.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer the name [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] to [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]?

[name_m]How[/name_m] about months - [name_u]March[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], which are your favourites?

[name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are all well used baby names, would you ever consider Sping in a baby’s name?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer English month/day/season names over other languages etc?

Any other names you like that would fit in this type of category.

I like quite a lot of those! [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u]

I actually would use [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] for a girl ([name_u]Winter[/name_u] if it went with our last name)
[name_u]August[/name_u] I would use but prefer for a boy

My favorites in English are:

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]

In Icelandic and other Scandinavian languages, my favorites are:

Sommar
Talvi (winter)
[name_f]Juni[/name_f]
Dagur or [name_m]Dag[/name_m] (not sure if this counts, it simply means “day”)

I think I like these names better in another language than English, and specifically nordic languages, because to to me they feel more pure and closer to nature, more… earthy, I guess? I’m quite sure how to explain it. Maybe it’s just to do with the fact that they are in my own language and culture.

I love the name [name_u]June[/name_u] (it’s my daughter’s middle name) and think days/months/seasons make fantastic names, whether in the first or middle spot. In addition to [name_u]June[/name_u] I love [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], and think names like [name_u]July[/name_u], [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] etc make awesome middle names.

I love seasonal & calendar names! I think any of the days of the week would be lovely middle names, and I could even be tempted to use [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], [name_f]Monday[/name_f], [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] or [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] as a pretty and unusual girls’ first.

My favourite month names are [name_u]March[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_f]September[/name_f]. I would use [name_u]August[/name_u] for a boy and [name_u]March[/name_u] or [name_f]September[/name_f] for a girl, and I think [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] are lovely middle choices that go with practically everything! I will probably use [name_f]May[/name_f] as a middle for a girl in the future, because of a personal connection to that month.

As for seasons, I’m not a fan of [name_f]Summer[/name_f] purely because I knew a girl called [name_f]Summer[/name_f] at school and I didn’t like her! But if I look beyond that it is pretty. I think [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would both be lovely choices for babies born during those seasons, though I would find it weird if they were used for babies born in [name_u]July[/name_u] for example.

My favourites are [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]April[/name_f]!
If I had to pick a day, I think I’d go for [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a middle

I really like both [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]. Quirky, fun names. My favourite is [name_f]Sunday[/name_f].
My favourite month names are [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_f]October[/name_f].
I don’t like [name_f]Spring[/name_f]. It has an unpleasant sound imo.

I am personally not a fan of weekday names. But I do think month names [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], and [name_u]June[/name_u] are sweet for girls, and [name_u]March[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] are really cool for boys!

As for the seasons, [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is way overused (at least where I am from). [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are fairly common, too. They feel kind of tacky at this point, imho. Not sure about [name_f]Spring[/name_f]…

In other languages, Giugno (JYOON-yoh, Italian for [name_u]June[/name_u]) might make a cute boy name.

I like [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u] for months. [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] for days. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] for seasons because the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is cute.

I’ve seen [name_f]October[/name_f] and [name_f]Solstice[/name_f] (I think that loosely fits into this category) used in real life, both girls.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] these…

[name_u]January[/name_u], nn [name_f]Janna[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_f]Mavis[/name_f])
[name_u]June[/name_u], nn [name_f]Junie[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u], nn [name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_f]October[/name_f]
[name_u]November[/name_u], nn [name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_f]Sunday[/name_f], nn [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]

I like [name_u]June[/name_u], but prefer [name_f]Juno[/name_f].
I like [name_f]May[/name_f], but prefer [name_f]Maya[/name_f].
I like [name_f]April[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but not [name_u]July[/name_u].
I think [name_u]August[/name_u] works for a boy. I don’t know that I would use any of the other months as names, however!

[name_f]Summer[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] are all right but not my style, [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]Spring[/name_f] are not my favourite either.

I don’t think I would ever use a weekday unless it was super significant to me.

One note about naming, I don’t know that I would name a baby [name_f]April[/name_f] if she was born in [name_f]April[/name_f] – that seems a little bit too on-the-nose for me.

I love [name_f]Juni[/name_f] and [name_m]Dag[/name_m] is a actually such a cute nickname vibe name for a boy! Never heard it before but I love it.

I get what you mean, when I think of Nordic names and culture, I think of nature and purity.

I love both [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] and [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f].

I love [name_u]March[/name_u], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_f]May[/name_f]. I also think [name_u]July[/name_u] could be a really cool name for a girl.

I don’t really like season names. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is okay. I also think the baby needs to be born on that day/month/season for the name to make sense. I don’t want to meet a baby [name_u]Winter[/name_u] born in [name_u]June[/name_u]. I also don’t want to meet a little [name_f]May[/name_f] who was born in [name_u]July[/name_u] haha.

I love the names [name_u]July[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]April[/name_f]/[name_f]Avril[/name_f], [name_u]December[/name_u] (for a girl), [name_f]Sunday[/name_f], and all of the season names. But I think [name_u]December[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Spring[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would make good middles and [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_u]July[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], and [name_u]November[/name_u] (nn [name_f]Nova[/name_f]/[name_u]Ember[/name_u]) could work as first names. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped!

Hmm…

I think month, day & season names are great. I love earthy boho names along with a thing for cute vintage names. Month, day & season names fit into this style for sure!

Month names I love are [name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u] & [name_u]July[/name_u]. I think [name_u]January[/name_u] is cool and edgy just has a sweet wintry vibe. I think [name_f]April[/name_f] sounds refreshing and happy despite many people saying it’s dated I’ve always had a soft spot for [name_f]April[/name_f]. [name_f]May[/name_f] & [name_u]June[/name_u] are just great retro choices! [name_u]July[/name_u] feels summery and I like that vibe. I also like [name_u]August[/name_u] for a boy proper handsome. I prefer month names in English just because it’s my first language and feels more natural.

Concerning days I really like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] & [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] over [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] though I just think it has a upbeat lively sound. I also think [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] is cute!

I have always loved the seasonal name [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] honestly it’s just so pretty and wholesome sounding. Really outdoorsy I love it. Then heard my boyfriends father say [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] his family are Ugandan and he has a thick Ugandan accent it just didn’t sound right unfortunately. I think [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is pretty loving [name_u]Winter[/name_u] currently as well. Prefer [name_u]Winter[/name_u] over [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. As for [name_f]Spring[/name_f] not my vibe just doesn’t sound like a name I prefer [name_f]Aviva[/name_f].

I still haven’t made up my mind if you need to be born in that particular month, day or season to have that name? Is it weird to be called January and born in August I’m still unsure when it comes to that!

Days: I prefer [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f] to [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] and Thursday.

Months: I really like all of the month names, except for [name_f]February[/name_f], [name_f]April[/name_f], and [name_f]September[/name_f].

Seasons: I only like [name_u]Winter[/name_u], personally. While I’m not a fan of the names, I do know a girl named [name_f]Spring[/name_f] and a girl named [name_f]Season[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]

[name_f]Season[/name_f]: There was an actress called [name_f]Spring[/name_f] Byington. Though [name_f]Spring[/name_f] is rarely heard as a first name I think this example shows it can sound great with the right surname. People often look for one syllable middle names and this could be a good one. I like all the season names and particularly [name_f]Autumn[/name_f].

Days: I love [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. And I like Friday and [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] and think these could grown on me too. [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] Addams doesn’t put me off - cute rather.

Months: I like [name_u]January[/name_u] (and [name_m]Jones[/name_m] again reminds that a great surname combo goes a long way!) , [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]September[/name_f]. I don’t love [name_u]June[/name_u] but it’s okay. Also think [name_f]October[/name_f], [name_u]November[/name_u] and [name_u]December[/name_u] could work.
