I have just been curious recently, about others opinions on month names.
Personally, I would find it awkward to meet someone named [name_u]August[/name_u], and find out that their birthday is in [name_u]January[/name_u], but that’s just my opinion. Although, I do know a girl called [name_f]April[/name_f], but I’m not aware of what month her birthday is in.
I have a month name, but I’m not born in that month.
Honestly I don’t think it’s a big deal.
Think of it as a word name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like girls named [name_f]Lily[/name_f] aren’t actually flowers and might not have any connection to the flower whatsoever, people with month names might not have any connection to the specific month.
I agree with the previous poster. It’s just a word, like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]. I personally think it’s cheesy when people are named after the month that they were born in.
It doesn’t cross my mind at all when someone’s name doesn’t match with the month they were born, and I’d be more inclined to find it odd if it did.
