Month names 🐞

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! Three of my favourite names (somewhat unfortunately) are [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u], and [name_u]August[/name_u], which all have a special significance for me. While I wouldn’t use all three for children, would having two of them in the same sibset be too ‘monthy’?

I think it could be really cute and a sweet connection between the siblings! I think you should use them if you really love the names, and they are meaningful and feel right to you💕

I think it’s too matchy.

If you gave all of your children month named, that would be adorable though :slight_smile:

I think it would be okay to use two in the same sibset, especially if there was another child in the set. Alternatively you could use one of them in the middle spot? Maybe [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]August[/name_u] - they feel a tiny bit less exclusively namey? [name_u]Or[/name_u], if you like it, [name_f]Mae[/name_f] could work?

Oooh. I love the names [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u].

I am in a similar position, as i looove the name [name_u]August[/name_u] because it has a very deep meaning for me, it is something like an honor name for a family member that was born in august🌊

Where i live month names are not popular so when i tell people my future son will be named [name_u]August[/name_u] they kinda laugh… But i don’t care, because i love it.

The sibset is very cute.

If the names have significance for you, of course use them, and don’t let anyone tell you they are too something

Luckily these names are more common as names already, and feel less like “I named my child a month” names, as opposed to something like [name_u]December[/name_u] or [name_u]January[/name_u] that feel extremely monthy to me. You might be able to get away with using 2 of them as first names. What could also work is if you used middles for some/all. Although, a name like [name_f]May[/name_f] is a super common middle name and fresher as a first name, so that could make it lose its appeal for you. One as a first name and two as middles could be fun way to use them all though!

I love all these names, maybe just two in a sibset would be okay. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] could also help lesson it out a bit. [name_u]Juno[/name_u] could also be a friendly alternative! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

As first names I think it would be too matchy but I think if you had something like [name_f]Lola[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] it wouldn’t be too matchy as [name_f]May[/name_f] as a middle name just takes away the matchiness.

I think it’s quite matchy but it’s also cute! [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]Juno[/name_u] + [name_u]Augustine[/name_u] would be a little less matchy. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names though!
