I have a tough time coming up with boy names I like. I recently posted a thread and got a lot of great input, so here are my updated short and long list.
Please suggest more names that are similar. Also, I’d love it if you could help me figure out the style I’m liking! I feel like it’s something like ethereal, subtly spiritual names… Unusual, perhaps foreign, perhaps ancient. ??
If I had a girl tomorrow, I’d name her Séraphine [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]. (Debating on whether or not to keep the [name_m]French[/name_m] accent)
Short list for boys:
[name_m]Aeneas[/name_m]
Miró (like the painter)
[name_m]Idris[/name_m]
[name_m]Tarquin[/name_m]
[name_m]Ilon[/name_m]
[name_u]Elon[/name_u]
[name_u]Alva[/name_u]
[name_m]Evans[/name_m]
Tureus (hard to pronounce in English?)
Turris
Eliade
[name_m]Adriel[/name_m]
[name_u]Tarian[/name_u]
[name_m]Tigris[/name_m]
I feel like many of the names have certain sounds in common, but in not sure how to look for more names like them. And I find it important that the name has a meaning or history/story to it, too.
You seem to love a lot of the same sounds I love. Soft, vowel-heavy, lots of V, M, N, L, PH/F sounds.
[name_m]Amias[/name_m] was the first one I thought of until I noticed it at the bottom of the list
I think I would call your naming style fantasy: exotic, melodic-sounding names, fit for the hero of a fairytale adventure, epic journey or thrilling adventure.
