Possibly an obscure ask, and I’m not sure how to articulate it. Our son’s name is [name_m]Warren[/name_m], I am loving [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Abram[/name_m], but husband is iffy.
I feel like [name_m]Warren[/name_m] , [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Abram[/name_m] all have endings that feel similar without being matchy-matchy, and just have a similar sound/vibe. I really am not too fond of most names that end in —on because so many have become trendy lately, but there is something these three names have in common that I can’t put my finger on but would like to make a list of more names that feel similarly? Does that rambling make sense to anyone?
Are there any other not-too-common names that you think fit in with the feel, meaning, or sound of this trio?
Sorry I am so not articulate trying to describe what I’m looking for. You guys are much more eloquent when it comes to name descriptions.
I think the reason these names feel similar and don’t feel too trendy is because they have a sturdy, classic feeling – they are grounded and well-established and have been around for a long time, yet aren’t constantly popular like [name_u]William[/name_u], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], etc.
I really like this strong, traditional feel and I would suggest…

I think part of the challenge is that they are two different categories of names (to me, and likely to others): [name_m]Warren[/name_m] is an older, established, & sturdy surname, and [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] & [name_m]Abram[/name_m] are Old Testament Biblical names, or traditional Hebrew/Jewish names. I agree that they all have a certain sound or feel in common. I’ll use the terms “sturdy & established” again. But it still feels (to me, personally, and perhaps not to you) that something more in the surname category would suit the brother of [name_m]Warren[/name_m] best. Are there any of those that have the same appeal to you as [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] & [name_m]Abram[/name_m]?
