More love for Sunday and Eliza 🌼

*Edited to add Tessa to the list of contenders! Am I off on this, or do Eliza, Frankie, Sunday, and Tessa sound as sweet together as they do in my imaginary world of naming?! Too many strong s/z sounds? I sort of love the unintentional consecutive letters! I used to not be a fan of this at all, but now it’s growing on me!

Hi again! Please forgive all the posts. I’m trying to distract myself.

So I think I’ve officially decided on Eliza and Sunday as my future girls’ names! These two feel relatively set, unless I somehow fall out of love with Sunday, which I don’t see happening anytime soon!
I have come up with sets of name with middles. Some include boys’ names and others do not. Please help me narrow down my choices by selecting your favorites.

Brooks Philip
Declan Brent
Eliza Juliet
Sunday Eloise

Bridget Margot
Eliza Josephine
Griffin Hayes
Sunday Katherine

Eliza Katherine
Brooks Samuel
Griffin Thomas
Sunday Marie

Bridget Marie
Eliza Kate (just Kate this time!)
Sunday Julianne (instead of Juliet?)

Audrey Marie? Mae? Maren?
Declan John
Henry Oliver
Sunday Nora
Eliza Joy

Anna Kate
Eliza Leanne (cousin’s middle name; not an honor, I just like the name; too -l heavy or usable?)
Sunday Lyla

Brooks Theodore
Declan Sheperd
Eliza Rae
Sunday Amelia

I hate the idea of not using Sheperd as a first name, but it’s probably not the best with Sunday. I don’t like Samuel “Sam” or Shepard enough to throw Sunday out and use one of those instead. I don’t want any of the names to start with the same letter.

Wildcard Girls’ Names:

Eliza
Frankie
June or Juno
Sunday

I am open to some mix-and-matching of these names, and any thoughts suggestions you may have! Thank you so much!!

@Greyblue Wow!! I love all of these so much, thank you. :face_holding_back_tears: I loved the [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] books and movies as a child, but don’t think I can pull it off as a first name unfortunately. But I thought it was a fun (and still classic!) middle for [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]. I absolutely love your ideas of [name_u]Henry[/name_u] Sheperd and [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] too!

Thank you again! :smiling_face::white_heart::blossom:

Firstly hope whatever you’re distracting yourself from improves soon!

Yay it made me smile seeing that you’ve chosen [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as a sibling set I think they are so perfect such a gorgeous sibling set. So bright, playful, has summery imagery and feels very fashionable.

Looking at your sets I absolutely love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]. They feel bright, summery, outdoorsy and truly adorable. I love this sibling set. Regarding [name_m]Shepard[/name_m] you could have [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] [name_m]Shepard[/name_m] or if you’re really attached to [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] two middle name combination. [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Shepard[/name_m] is handsome.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

@persephonescrown Thank you so much, It is absolutely helpful! I don’t understand where my love of [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] comes from. I don’t like any other forms of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] except [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]. But just [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is my favorite by far. And I would only use it for a girl. There is just something about a the idea of a baby, toddler, girl, teen, and woman named [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] that I love so much! I know it’s not for everyone, but I can see it working on every age for woman. I may have to throw that one into the mix permanently too! I really love [name_u]Juno[/name_u] as well. I’m not sure I can see it aging as well as I can picture [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], to be honest. It also gives me [name_m]Gino[/name_m] vibes. *Disclaimer: There is absolutely nothing wrong with the name. I’m just not Italian. I was torn when I wrote this, but now I’m leaning toward [name_u]June[/name_u] for some reason!

Thank you for loving the wildcard names with me!!

@tori101 Think you for that.:butterfly:

I think yours might be my favorite set too! I’m not attached to [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] as the middle name for [name_u]Griffin[/name_u]. I just thought they flowed nicely together, to be honest. It just feels like all the names fit, even though [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] would obviously stand out the most. I love the spunky simplicity of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] (Sunday is spunky while [name_u]Marie[/name_u] goes with almost everything!) I love [name_u]Brooks[/name_u], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] together so much. And I added [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] because it’s such a sweet, yet strong name that is familiar and approachable, but uncommon in my area (as far as I know).

I also think I may have to steal the idea of nicknaming [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] from @Greyblue for a few reasons:

  1. It just makes me happy, and daisies are my favorite flower.
  2. It would be a round about way to honor my mom that she probably wouldn’t hate, (because she really dislikes her name) but I think I could still get away with giving another daughter a more direct honor name as a middle name!
  3. It gives her a fun nickname if she doesn’t like [name_f]Sunday[/name_f]!

Still trying to figure out how to honor my dad too! He goes by his middle name, which is one syllable and had a similar sound at the beginning to some of the boy names here. So it will take some more thinking! I could use his first name, which is also my brother’s name (and he goes by it.) A family name a little bit further back, or something that is important to him. It’s a little tougher to come up with a name to honor him. But I really want to!

Thank you again, so much, for your kind words and for helping me think this through!
