[name_f]Lucille[/name_f] - I think this deserves a revival. Such a nice way to get the ‘[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]’ nickname and lovely on its own too.
[name_f]Gilda[/name_f] - Ditto. Ripe for revival.
[name_f]Farida[/name_f] - I like this. Might call a character that.
[name_f]Calina[/name_f] - I really like this!
[name_f]Fidelia[/name_f] - Feels similar to [name_f]Felicia[/name_f] which I prefer.
[name_f]Zora[/name_f] - I think this is like [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] but fresher.
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f] - A friend named her daughter this. I think it’s lovely.
[name_f]Vanja[/name_f] - I love discovering new names that end in ‘ja’ and I really like this one.
[name_f]Silja[/name_f] - I’d heard of this one before but forgot about it. Celtic-sounding and wild. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f].
Zari - feels like it needs an ending to me. [name_f]Zarina[/name_f]?
Melivia - I love this! A really unusual name that still feels like a name if that makes sense. Like [name_f]Melinda[/name_f] meets [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. And she can be nicknamed ‘[name_f]Liv[/name_f]’.
Epona - reminds me of [name_f]Eponine[/name_f] but not as frilly. A pretty name nonetheless.
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] - A name for a musical family!
Sharina - too much like [name_f]Sharon[/name_f] for my liking!
Ooh, [name_f]Gilda[/name_f]. I’d love to meet someone with that name. I like Zari a lot, too. [name_f]Zarina[/name_f] would be pretty, as well, but sounds like [name_f]Marina[/name_f] with a Z.
I’ve liked [name_f]Aria[/name_f] forever (as in, before GoT and Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars on TV). I don’t think I’d use it myself, though.
My favorite is [name_f]Zora[/name_f]. Great namesake in [name_f]Zora[/name_f] [name_u]Neale[/name_u] Hurston, and I love that she feels exotic yet familiar with all the more popular -ora/-ara names.
I also love the sweet, vintage [name_f]Lucille[/name_f].
[name_f]Zarina[/name_f] is like [name_f]Marina[/name_f] with a Z, and I think that’s why I like it, now that you’ve mentioned it! [name_f]Marina[/name_f] seems a bit too trendy now, so [name_f]Zarina[/name_f] seems fresher.
(Sorry for double post, I missed this) Oh, I forgot about [name_f]Zora[/name_f] [name_u]Neale[/name_u] Hurston! I think you’ve nailed it: exotic yet familiar. It’s really growing on me since I started this thread!
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f] - cute, and agreeing with you, it’s ready to be revived
[name_f]Gilda[/name_f] - hmm. What’s the pronunciation? I know somebody named Jildah, is it said like that?
[name_f]Farida[/name_f] - Surprisingly, I love this
[name_f]Calina[/name_f] - I have never really liked this style of name ([name_f]Calista[/name_f], [name_f]Calinda[/name_f], [name_f]Carissa[/name_f], [name_f]Calina[/name_f]…)
[name_f]Fidelia[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f] - loooove this!
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f] - Cute and fresh
[name_f]Vanja[/name_f] - not my style at all
[name_f]Silja[/name_f] - not my style
Zari - feels like a nickname
Melivia - I agree with you– it’s sooo cute
Epona - not my favorite, but I do like “E…a” names
[name_f]Aria[/name_f] - I like it
Sharina - trendy name for 40 something women in my area. I dislike it, just not my style
