I’ve got a few new combos to throw at you (not that I need any more on the list, but it’s just fun and interesting). I love taking name nerds’ opinions into consideration, so thank you for all the help in the past and thanks in advance for this! Please let me know your thoughts.
Devera Lilou - We’ve had Devri on the list for a long time, but I don’t have a combo I love with it. This may be a more “formal” way to get to Devri. However, we also have Doveva on our list.
Perenelle Sonja - Similarly, Peri is on our list as a first or middle. I still like Peri on its own a lot, but the husband likes Perenelle nn Peri better, so I was looking for some combos.
Faline Adair - Suggested by a friend, since Faline is on my long list of F girl names, but I never really paired it with anything. I’m unsure about Adair. I know lots of people like it on here…does it work in this combo? Do the two names run together? Does it sound odd with both being two syllables?
Elenka Sibyl or Elenka Sonnet - Which do you like better? I really can’t decide.
Tulia Zandi - Is this too out there? Tuuli has been a long time fave and is an honor name of sorts, but the husband thinks it’s a little too odd. I like the meaning of it though, and maybe it could be a nickname for Tulia?
Boys’ version: Some new boy combos: Appealing or Appalling?

also quite far from my personal style but i’ll give it a go!
Devera Lilou - definitely prefer Devera to Devri, and Lilou is one of my favourites among your names. i think that this is a really nicely balanced combo in terms of sound, but i’m not sure if the names match. i think that maybe it’s because they don’t share any vowels? overall i do like it, though.
Perenelle Sonja - i might prefer just Peri or Perry to Perenelle, and i’d also prefer Sonja Perenelle to Perenelle Sonja. i do think that Perenelle has really great, versatile nickname potential, so there’s that! reminds me of “perennial” which is a pretty neutral association.
Faline Adair - probably my least favourite. i just can’t get behind Faline - too similar to feline, i think. i’d prefer Felicity, Felicia, or even something like Fallon. i do think that it matches well with Adair and i like the overlap in vowel sounds.
Elenka Sibyl / Elenka Sonnet: i really, really like Elenka Sybil - slinky and elegant with a playful touch from the diminutive in the first name spot. Elenka has such a pretty meaning as well. i think it’s much better matched with Sybil than Sonnet - Sonnet feels a little clunky in the context of the full combo. Elenka Sybil would be my favourite of your new combos!
Tulia Zandi - i quite like this one, actually, and i don’t think it’s too out-there. Zandi strikes me as more obscure than Tulia, which i think seems familar because of the similarity to Julia. definitely prefer to Tuuli, and i also think Tulia is less likely to be mispronounced. Tuuli could work as a nickname, though!

Ooh these are gorgreous!
[name_f]Devera[/name_f] [name_f]Lilou[/name_f]- This is so cute!! I like both [name_f]Devera[/name_f] and [name_f]Devri[/name_f], they give me different vibes though, [name_f]Devera[/name_f] is pure elegance and sparkling diamonds while still feeling strong, [name_f]Devri[/name_f] feels a lot more light and bubbly and sweet. [name_f]Doveva[/name_f] is also absolutely adorable and has the nn [name_u]Dove[/name_u]! [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] goes super well with it too.
Perenelle [name_f]Sonja[/name_f]- I prefer Perenelle nn [name_u]Peri[/name_u] a lot more than [name_u]Peri[/name_u] itself, me personally I prefer names that can be more versatile so if they wanted to go by a nn they can, or they can choose to go by a different nn if they don’t like the one they have already. [name_f]Sonja[/name_f] is perfect with Perenelle.
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Adair[/name_u]- This is so cute!! I’ve never actually seen [name_f]Faline[/name_f] before but it kinda reminds me of [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] or [name_f]Fauna[/name_f] so kinda gives me nature princessy vibes like those. [name_u]Adair[/name_u] sounds really good with it! I don’t think they run into each other at all, it definitely doesn’t sound weird with both of them being 2 syllables.
Elenska [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f] or Eleska [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f]- Eleska Sonnet!!! It’s so sweet and elegant.
[name_f]Tulia[/name_f] [name_f]Zandi[/name_f]- I like Tulia!! [name_f]Zandi[/name_f] is also super awesome I think it sounds really cool paired with [name_f]Tulia[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Tuuli[/name_f] is too out there, maybe the spelling looks like that but the sound of it not at all. I will say with [name_f]Tulia[/name_f] if I saw that I’d most likely assume they were Hispanic, which by no means is bad I’m Hispanic myself, because it’s the fem version of [name_m]Tulio[/name_m] but like I said nothin wrong with that, just wanted to say something just in case
Overall I really like the combos!!

[name_f]Devera[/name_f] Lilou~ absolutely chef’s kiss in my eyes. [name_f]Devera[/name_f] and [name_f]Doveva[/name_f] have my heart doing heart eyes :Italian hand gesture:
Perenelle Sonja~ Perenelle is interesting, and I definitely can find the appeal! [name_f]Sonja[/name_f] is lovely next to her; I wonder if there is another that could go along with it, though?
[name_f]Faline[/name_f] Adair~ [name_f]Faline[/name_f] [name_u]Adair[/name_u] sounds pretty awesome to me, particularly together. [name_f]Faline[/name_f] is pretty catlike, though- reminds me of both “feline” and “praline” if I actually try to think of associations. However, I’m sure people would look over it. You are correct in saying that [name_u]Adair[/name_u] is a favourite here- mine included.
[name_f]Elenka[/name_f] Sibyl/Sonnet~ [name_f]Elenka[/name_f] [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] is sublime [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f] is positively STUNNING, though!
[name_f]Tulia[/name_f] Zandi~ I don’t mind this! I do see your husband’s point with the two names paired together, but that is not a bad thing at all. The only thing is that I would expect to call [name_f]Tulia[/name_f] “Tuli”- again, not a bad thing if you don’t mind it.

@mea.ola I understand. [name_f]My[/name_f] “style” is different than the vast majority on here and in life, but that’s how I prefer it anyway. I’m just so glad that this site seems to have a lot more open minded and creative people than it did six to eight years ago, when I frequented it before. It’s great to have people expanding everyone’s horizons.
@anon35922409 Thank you! I appreciate your time and detailed feedback. I’m so glad you like [name_f]Elenka[/name_f] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and [name_f]Tulia[/name_f] [name_f]Zandi[/name_f] as they were the ones I was most iffy about.
@leafygreens Thank you so much! I love so many of your combos, and I’m really excited to read your feedback: it’s so helpful. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is Latino, yes, so we have a lot of names on our list with Latin roots like [name_f]Tulia[/name_f].
@anon25197097 Good to know, because that is one I’m not sure about. Thank you!
@Violet8181 I’m so pleasantly surprised that people like [name_f]Tulia[/name_f] [name_f]Zandi[/name_f]. She’s just so energized for me and I’m liking her more as time goes on. Thanks for chiming in!
@Angelinasb24 Thank you so much! I’ve been “singing” [name_f]Devera[/name_f] [name_f]Lilou[/name_f] aloud the last couple days, as it just rolls off the tongue. [name_f]My[/name_f] beloved [name_f]Doveva[/name_f] though…I can’t have both, so one will have to become a character in a book. And I love Tuli as a nickname, so it’d be perfect for [name_f]Tulia[/name_f].

@sincerelysenara Thank you, thank you. [name_f]Elska[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] for me, but I appreciate the suggestion.
@Harvest-Endellion Thanks!
