We aren’t finding out the sex of our LO. We already have a DD names [name]Miriam[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. If LO is a boy, his name will be [name]Dominick[/name] [name]Randolph[/name]. If LO is a girl, her middle name will 98% be [name]Marguerite[/name]. (Obviously if we decided on a first name that doesn’t go, we’ll change it). We’ve gone back and forth several times with names. Currently we are both in [name]LOVE[/name] with [name]Amelia[/name], with [name]Evelyn[/name] being a close second. Only “problem” (for lack of a better word) is they are both so popular. I don’t want LO to be one of several “Amelias” or “Evelyns” in her class. We’ve also considered [name]Etta[/name] and [name]Willa[/name], but feel they are a little too nick-namey and don’t care for any longer names to get to those being a nickname.
With [name]Miriam[/name], I love [name]Marguerite[/name] and [name]Willa[/name] the best. [name]Miriam[/name] is vintage and Biblical so here are some suggestions.
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] is beautiful. I know [name]Amelia[/name] is supposedly getting popular but I don’t actually know any Amelias. [name]Do[/name] you? Are any of your daughter’s friends or siblings named [name]Amelia[/name]? If not, then I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not unheard of, but it’s hardly up there with [name]Emma[/name] or [name]Isabella[/name] [name]IMO[/name] - also both gorgeous names but very popular. Plus there are a ton of nns from that name if you do want to differentiate down the road: [name]Milly[/name], [name]Mimi[/name], [name]Lia[/name], [name]Amy[/name], [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Daisy[/name] (from [name]Marguerite[/name], I’ve heard ). Good luck!
