More to choose from

Hi everyone. I recently posted about my top four names: [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] (Remy or Romy), [name_f]Amina[/name_f] (Mina), [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. I have a few more to add to the list: [name_f]Helena[/name_f] (Leni), Annalise/Annelise (Leni). Which ones of the above do you like? It could be great if you could rate them all favorite to least favorite. Thank you!

All of your options are lovely! I really like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], although they are a little popular right now! I’ve been obsessed with [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] for a while as well, but the only part that throws me off is the ā€˜mona’ part (a good alternative t if it bothers you too is [name_f]Romana[/name_f] nn Romy):
I’d rank them:

  1. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Amina[/name_f]
  5. [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
  6. Annalise/Annelise

I love these names! If I had to rank them:

  1. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]: fits any age, and feels vintage without feeling overly fussy or long! I’ve really been liking [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] recently!
  2. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]: love the nickname [name_f]Romy[/name_f]! has a creative, storybook feel (probably because of [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Quimby[/name_f])
  3. [name_f]Amina[/name_f]: a versatile name with so many nickname options! my favorite is [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], although [name_f]Mina[/name_f] is really cute!
  4. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]: I love the sound of her, but something about the spelling throws me off, I don’t know why? the meaning is absolutely wonderful though!
  5. Annalise/Annelise: it’s okay (for me!)! I’ve never found a spelling I like though. [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is a cute nicknames for her, although it seems a little unintuitive. maybe [name_f]Nellie[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Nissy[/name_f], or [name_f]Allie[/name_f] could be alternatives?
  6. [name_f]Helena[/name_f]: my least favorite, although there’s nothing wrong with her, she’s just not my cup of tea! [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is a nice nickname, and I think it’s more intuitive with her than with [name_f]Annalise[/name_f].

hope this helps!!

[name_m]Just[/name_m] realized I meant nickname ā€œNellieā€ for [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], not ā€œLeniā€. Oops!

I love [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] with [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]!

My favorites in order:

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Amina[/name_f] (though just [name_f]Mina[/name_f] would rank higher for me)
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Annelise[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]

[name_m]You[/name_m] have some lovely choices

From fave to least…

  1. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] ā€˜Romy’
  2. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] ā€˜Leni’
  4. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] 'Leni;
  5. [name_f]Amina[/name_f] ā€˜Mina’
  6. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

(I don’t dislike any of them though  )

Hi there.

Here are my rankings:

Phoebe-So whimsical and sweet, but also not too hard to picture on a mature adult. Well known but not over done.

Mabel-I like this, too. Old fashioned and charming. [name_m]Like[/name_m] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], it’s easy & well known but not too popular.

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] (Leni)-I’m never sure how I feel about this. I love the idea of [name_f]Helena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]. And I like [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. I don’t think that I like [name_f]Leni[/name_f] as much. But it’s just me. There’s nothing wrong with it. [name_m]The[/name_m] only problem that I have with [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is that it has two pronunciations, so that’s tricky. Some people say Hell-uh-nuh & some people say Huh-lay-nuh. I much prefer the latter.

[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] (Remy or Romy)-This name is a smidge clunky for my tastes, but it’s still a fun choice. [name_m]The[/name_m] nns, while aren’t my personal favorites, are really spunky & cute without being too cute.

[name_f]Annelise[/name_f] (Leni)-I’m definitely prefer this spelling. It just looks so much sleeker than [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is a bit of a stretch as a nn here. I do like [name_f]Annie[/name_f], though.

[name_f]Amina[/name_f] (Mina)-I think just [name_f]Mina[/name_f] or even better [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mina[/name_f] is nice. [name_f]Amina[/name_f] doesn’t do it for me. I can’t pinpoint why though.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Ramona (Remy or Romy): So fun, uncommon, and cute nicknames! [name_f]Love[/name_f] a long classic name with a short cute nickname.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]: I just love this name. Short, cute, fun, what’s not to love?

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] (Leni): Same deal as [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], I just like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] a [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] better.

[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] (Leni): I like [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], I just prefer [name_f]Annie[/name_f] as a nickname.

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]: I want to like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] more, but it always feels so plain to me for some reason.

[name_f]Amina[/name_f]: This is at the bottom because I have bad personal associations, not because of the name directly, the name is fine.

All your options are beautiful! [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] nn [name_f]Romy[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f], and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] are my favorites, though I don’t know how in the world to begin ranking them! I lean toward [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] because I know you considered her for your older daughter, but I love [name_f]Leni[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] so incredibly much! I do like the idea of a nn since your daughter has a nn as well, correct? [name_f]Leni[/name_f] has my heart today, but I would rank the three of them pretty evenly

Good luck!

Ooh, ā€œNellieā€ for [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] definitely changes how I was going to rank them!

[name_f]Annelise[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]
[name_f]Amina[/name_f]
