Our latest pick for a boy is [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. DH originally suggested [name_m]Morris[/name_m], which I just can’t get behind for my own child, so I offered up [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]. It has a lot of meaning for us. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is the middle name of my youngest sister, who I’m very close to, and I know it would mean a lot for her nephew to share part of her name. [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is also a spin on the place where DH and I met ([name_m]Moore[/name_m], Oklahoma). DH loved it.
I know that [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] was fairly popular for girls, especially when I was growing up. I don’t hear it used much anymore, but I personally feel it could work these days. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], and even DH’s name are all names that I’ve heard many times on both boys and girls, so why not [name_u]Morgan[/name_u]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it could work?
Another huge question is about middle names. We are pretty clueless in what to pair with it. At this point, we aren’t really huge into finding another honor name but…then what? I was thinking [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] but I’m not sure. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d greatly appreciate it. We like “grandpa” names, nature names, and unpopular biblical names, if that helps.
I grew up knowing a boy [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] and a girl [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], but I much prefer it on a boy. I think some people may assume [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is a girl at first, because it is now more popular for girls. Still, I say go for it! I especially love that it’s meaningful for you.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m] is very nice.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] is traditionally a male name. While it was reasonably popular for girls for a while, I don’t think it’s lost its roots. I’ve known both male & female Morgans; if I heard the name I’d automatically think boy.
I know one of each, boy and girl. The boy is younger, a good sign for you.
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] (from your sig.) sounds both handsome and male.
I like it for a boy and think of it as unisex.
I agree with the post above, [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] sounds great. Others I like:
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Moss[/name_m]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_u]Murphy[/name_u]
I really like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] and I personally prefer it for a boy. I knew a [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] growing up and he already had instant handsome man appeal. I like [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Dominic[/name_m], it’s strong and I like the change in vowels from an to in/ic.
