Moss for a boy

Im kinda of liking [name_m]Moss[/name_m] for a little boy and certainly like it better than [name_m]Ross[/name_m]. It is unexpected nature name and fresh, reminding me of cool beautiful green mossy [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]. What do kind of person is [name_m]Moss[/name_m]? Isit too out there? I realize it doesn’t work for my family but I still like it

It’s a GP of mine for a boy (It’s funny to think that I have guilty pleasure names). I do think it is wearable. The only reason I have it on GP instead of names is 1. My husband hates it on a boy. He likes it for a girl. 2. When I test drove it, everyone thought it was a girl. I really do love it and would love to see somneone use it.

Me too, and [name_m]Moss[/name_m] is all boy to me
I like Larkspur on you list too

I think it’s beautiful on either gender, but I especially love it on a boy! It makes me think of springy dark curls and wide green eyes and lush rich forests. Swoon!

I think it’s kinda cute! Definitely wearable [name_f]IMO[/name_f]

I knew a boy names [name_m]Moss[/name_m] growing up, (he had an older sister [name_f]Violet[/name_f]) so doesn’t sound out there to me. It’s definitely fresher than [name_m]Ross[/name_m], and I do kind of like it even though it not my style.

I really like [name_m]Moss[/name_m] but I would only use it as a middle name. It doesn’t sound girly to me at all.

I’m definitely feeling [name_m]Moss[/name_m]. It’s a very masculine botanical name that’s surprisingly not a tree name ([name_m]Birch[/name_m], [name_u]Ash[/name_u], etc) that’s more common for boys. You could also see it as a last name turned first name if you want to look at it more traditionally. It’s a great color name obviously with its unisex green tone. The one syllable aspect would make it great as a middle name too.

I like it a lot. I’ve known a couple, some older men. Used as a nickname/diminutive of [name_m]Moses[/name_m].

Considerably more euphonious than the other [name_m]Moses[/name_m] nickname that gets used a lot, [name_m]Moe[/name_m].

I like it as a manly nature name. The others I like are [name_m]Heath[/name_m] and [name_m]Forest[/name_m]/[name_m]Forrest[/name_m].

It might work as middle name. I keep having the gut reaction no.
I also feel that it especially seems unfair with brothers [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. It’s not a balanced sib-set in that [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] are as traditional as they come and [name_m]Moss[/name_m] seems completely out of right field and non-traditional. It’s a hippy name to me. I expect his brothers to be [name_u]River[/name_u] and [name_m]Forest[/name_m] and his sisters to be [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] and [name_f]Breeze[/name_f].
Good luck!

The difference in perspective is interesting. I hear it as an old man name, not hippie at all.

I don’t like it sorry.

I do like it but I don’t really think it’s that wearable. I would possible use it as a middle name though.

I like it, but I cannot get a TV show association out of my head with it. Have you ever seen The IT Crowd? [name_m]Moss[/name_m] is an extremely awkward character on it. And I would always see him in my head.

As a middle name, sure, but not a given name for me.

I agree with emilyva.

I don’t find [name_m]Moss[/name_m] to be wearable at all as a FN.

Ditto this. I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the IT Crowd and [name_m]Richard[/name_m] Ayoade is absolutely hilarious, but yeah, I definitely think of the character [name_u]Maurice[/name_u] [name_m]Moss[/name_m]. I do like naturey, botanical names on boy, though, and I’d like to see [name_m]Moss[/name_m], I just think with my TV watching habits, I couldn’t take [name_m]Moss[/name_m] seriously as a first name.

Exactly what I was thinking. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the show, love the character, but I wouldn’t use the name.

I like it as a middle name.

I don’t like it.
I do however think it is more wearable on a girl as I strongly associate this name with [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_m]Moss[/name_m].

[name_m]Just[/name_m] came to make the same point about the character on The IT Crowd named [name_m]Moss[/name_m].

I couldn’t take it seriously, i just think
