*I stuck this in “Girl [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names” though I am looking for the most old lady-ish name. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to move it.
I’m looking for the most old lady-ish name for a tongue-in-cheek advice column. Please select the name that screams “I am the assistant head of marketing for a company and I have grandchildren!” the most to you. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to supply suggestions, as well. No offense if you don’t think these names are old lady-ish!
I’m closing the poll now, because I’m in my Newspaper class and I need to write my column. [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] will be the old lady and [name_f]Vera[/name_f] will be a “side character” (does that exist in advice columns? )
Ellen, definitely. [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is more of a “mom name” than and “old lady name”. The others feel quite fresh and usable for a little girl today, imo.
How about [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]? (I actually do know a grandma named that, but she goes by [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]) but I agree with those two sounding the most “in their 60s”
Thank you everyone. This was supposed to be a short-lived thread for me to collect “old-lady names” for my article @katinka, can you or someone close this so nobody else can reply? Thanks.
