In the past year, i’ve met a little boy named [name]Seven[/name],a guy named [name]Star[/name] (yes,im being serious) and a girl named [name]Sybella[/name] (pronounced [name]Sy[/name]-[name]Bill[/name]-ah).[name]Just[/name] curious to know any of the outrageous or real cool unusual names all you berries have meet in person. (:
It’s cheating, but I worked with an [name]Indian[/name] guy with a very, very unfortunate name. Sukdik. Seriously-- suck d*ck.
Hmm…
Jhordyn (yes, spelled that way)
[name]Griffith[/name]
[name]Landry[/name] (girl)
[name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Kennedi[/name] (girl)
[name]Caterina[/name]/[name]Katarina[/name]
[name]Symone[/name]
Cider (girl)
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Kiri[/name]
[name]Lilianna[/name]
[name]Rosalia[/name] “[name]Rosalie[/name]”
I came across a little girl being told off in the supermarket yesterday - [name]Odette[/name]. Never heard that one used in real life before.
My great-aunt’s name is [name]Odette[/name] :). I always find it weird that people name children [name]Odette[/name]. In my eyes, it’s equal to naming your kid [name]Mildred[/name] or [name]Phyllis[/name]—way dated.
In the past couple months, [name]Ive[/name] met:
[name]Persephone[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] this name. She wore it so well and the nn Sephy is adroable)
Maylee (Interesting, not something I would use though)
[name]Aimie[/name] (I hate ‘yooneek’ spellings. This is meant to be [name]Amy[/name])
[name]Danger[/name] (I really like this but only as a middle name)
[name]McKinley[/name] (again love this as a middle name. Surprised to see it on a boy because I thought it had gone completely girl?)
Drayk (sibling of [name]Aimie[/name]. Again, feel sorry for this kids)
[name]Bree[/name]
A few interesting ones i’ve met this year. Not sure on any of the spellings:
[name]Yani[/name]-[name]May[/name]
[name]Lily[/name]-[name]Jade[/name]
[name]Safia[/name]
Coozo - no idea on the spelling, but like it.
[name]Ori[/name] - Really like this one actually
A little girl called [name]Red[/name] Roses. She had two younger brothers. [name]One[/name] was [name]Bear[/name] [name]Blue[/name] (I think, not 100% sure) and the other one was something equally bizarre, pretty sure it was nature themed.
Kitri (kee-tree, girl)
Fenner (boy)
Huntin (girl)
Kinesa (girl)
Girls:
Libbra-[name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Bay[/name]
Boy:
[name]Finbarr[/name]
Mostly girls where I work…
Sisters [name]Nicoletta[/name], [name]Yanna[/name], and [name]Caterina[/name]
[name]Jacinta[/name]
Keeler
Keller (yes, two different girls)
[name]Jensen[/name] (g)
Cindall (pron. SIN-dahl, like Cinder with an L)
[name]Deborah[/name] (on an 8-9 year old)
[name]Susan[/name] (ditto [name]Deborah[/name])
[name]Darryn[/name] (g)
[name]January[/name]
Brothers [name]Tucker[/name] and [name]Tyde[/name]
Brothers [name]Slade[/name] and [name]Stone[/name]
Brothers [name]Payton[/name] and [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Romeo[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name]
[name]Buddy[/name]
Woods
In the last few months:
[name]Cayden[/name], [name]Braydon[/name] and [name]Haidyn[/name] (Two brothers and a sister, guess which is which!)
Cashlyn (girl)
Braiadan (girl)
[name]Maison[/name] (House!)
Roden (boy)
Grase ([name]Grace[/name]?)
Lawless and [name]Carver[/name] (brothers)
I do find [name]Maison[/name] bizarre, as of course it is French for house. Perhaps [name]Maison[/name] is a creative spelling of [name]Mason[/name]?
As for me, a girl named [name]Iliana[/name], and a boy named Skotland. The two are siblings, actually. There’s also [name]Lucia[/name] and [name]Lars[/name] in the family!
I think that “Lawless and [name]Carver[/name]” family is just courting trouble.
I’ve met
Sinatra
Patchen (after the poet)
[name]Attila[/name] ( apparently quite a popular name in Hungary)
[name]Just[/name] today I came across an [name]Erin[/name]’[name]Beau[/name] - spelled like that with the ’ rather than a - or just a space. And then it dawned on me… is it supposed to sound like ‘a rainbow’? [name]Erin[/name] is lovely but i found the ’ bit really odd. They’re used quite a bit in [name]Pacific[/name] island names usually to separate vowels but i thought this was quite unusual.
I’ve come across:
[name]Ursula[/name]
[name]Kallista[/name]
Dakari
[name]Ransom[/name]
Sh’[name]Cora[/name]
Stokes
Oh I know a [name]Buddy[/name] and an [name]Iliana[/name] too
Querubina, a student at the school I work at, originally from a Latin American country (not sure which one). I was told it is the translation and feminization of the word Cherub.
