[name]Hi[/name] there, I was hoping I could get some advice from you ladies! I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant, and we are moving in about two weeks to [name]London[/name]. We have a place to live, but I was hoping some British or living-in-[name]Britain[/name] berries would be able to give me some tips or things to know about living/moving to [name]London[/name]. [name]How[/name] is it raising children in [name]London[/name]?
Thanks so much!

Well… I’m guessing you must have been to the UK at some point before? [name]How[/name] long? [name]How[/name] much do you already know? [name]Do[/name] you know anyone here/is your OH British? [name]Do[/name] you want to know about life in [name]England[/name] in general or just [name]London[/name]? Sorry, I know that’s a lot of questions but there’s a loads of advice that could be given- just wanted to narrow it down.
And a good person to ask about this would be ottilie. I believe she’s a Londonberry with a little baba
Not [name]London[/name]-specific, but moving to a new place while pregnant, I suggest trying to meet other new or expecting moms to befriend so you have a support network by the time baby comes.
You’re moving to [name]England[/name] but you have no idea about life here? That’s… brave…
Hey there, [name]Meg[/name]! I live in central [name]London[/name] (Regents [name]Park[/name]-ish), with a 12 day old baby girl. I have lived in [name]London[/name] for the better part of my life, and while I do love the city I don’t want to raise my child here so we’re planning on a move within the next year or so. I’m not crazy about the pollution here. I know there are lots of great stuff to do while pregnant, and even more with a baby. If you tell me more about your location I can give you some great links to baby classes and these things. Moving while pregnant I’ve no ideas what that’s like. But I know what moving in general is like, and again, if I know more about your location I can recommend health shops, take out places, restaurants, mama & baby shops and so on. And anything else you’d like to ask, go on! I know the city like the back of my hand
Thank you ladies! We will be living in the [name]Richmond[/name] area, I think it’s a lovely place. My husband is half British (also 1/2 American) and lived there for most of his childhood/teen years, up until he was about 15. I have a friend whom I’ve known for years and years who lives in [name]London[/name] as well, so we have been emailing for the past couple of weeks. However I was hoping to learn more about pregnancy there- are there any benefits and such for mother and baby? I’ve heard about free dental care, prescriptions, and an allowance, but are there certain qualifications? I’ve researched but I’m a bit confused!
Thanks!
