Mrs Maisel Name Spot

Saw the name Deecy, literally pronounced D.C.
On an episode of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
What are our thoughts?
To me it has the sounds of [name_u]Darcy[/name_u]/[name_f]Cece[/name_f]/[name_f]Dixie[/name_f]

Deecy [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
Deecy [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
Deecy [name_f]Willow[/name_f] Rook
???

It just sounds made up to me personally, sorry—but it may just not be my cup of tea, as [name_f]Cece[/name_f] and [name_f]Dixie[/name_f] don’t appeal to me either and those are obviously established names!

The sound is quite pretty and sweet, but I really dislike the look of Deecy. It’s so phonetic that it almost looks… wrong, if that makes sense? I do like [name_f]Cece[/name_f] and [name_f]Dixie[/name_f], and I’m sure Deecy (Deacie? Deesie?) could work as a given name. Your middle name ideas are lovely and flow well.

The sound is sweet, but Deecy just doesn’t appear appealing at all. Maybe with an alternate spelling? Or, a different name as a full first name - but with Deecy as the nickname?

Deecy is cute but agreed, it looks strange. I’d probably name her [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] or something and call her D.C.

I agree with pp that the spelling looks off but the sound is nice, it remind me of the name [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. Maybe the spelling Deesey would be a bit better. Deesey [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is gorgeous.

Something about it just seems wrong to me. Maybe it reminds me too much of the word “dicey”? I’m not sure, but there’s something just off or awkward about it?
