[name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about [name_f]Muriel[/name_f]? Am I the only one who thinks it seems like it should be making a comeback? Is [name_f]Muriel[/name_f] making a comeback? Am I crazy for considering this name as a comeback possibility?
I haven’t seen [name_f]Muriel[/name_f] talked about at all, really, but I was looking at my family tree and I found a pair of sisters called [name_f]Muriel[/name_f] and [name_f]Ines[/name_f]. Sparked my interest.
I don’t think it’s making a comeback. I haven’t heard anyone consider it. But I don’t see why, I like it! I’d never thought about it until seeing this though.ha.
I would like to see someone use [name_f]Muriel[/name_f]. Seeing an adorable child with a name helps shape that image for me. It has a very vintage romantic feel!
I feel like [name_f]Muriel[/name_f] SHOULD make a comeback, but it isn’t right now. Which is sad, but I much prefer it to names like [name_f]Myrtle[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f].
We considered naming our daughter the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Murielle[/name_f], or even changing it to [name_f]Mirielle[/name_f], but got a lot of negative feedback from family.
In retrospect, I would still use it though.
I love the sound and find it elegant, even while others find it dusty or awkward.
[name_f]Muriel[/name_f] and [name_f]Ines[/name_f] is a cute sibset.
Not sure where you are located. But I’m in Australia and years ago there was a movie called [name_f]Muriel[/name_f]'s wedding with [name_f]Toni[/name_f] [name_f]Collette[/name_f] in it, its hilarious and its cause of this movie that I would personally never use the name.
