[name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] hold a lot of significance for me. I know [name_u]August[/name_u] is a decidedly male name, and usually I’m not a fan of masculine names on a girl, but both [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] (AW-gus-teen) feel feminine to me. Artoria has no special significance, it’s just a name I adore, and that I think sounds lovely with [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]August[/name_u] Artoria is really lovely! Definitely my favourite. [name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Artoria?
Best of luck!
I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. To me the ‘G’ sound is too harsh in comparison to the G in [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] or [name_u]August[/name_u]. It may just be the way I pronounce them. I also dislike how the ‘[name_u]August[/name_u]’ sound is altered in [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] (aw-[name_u]GUS[/name_u]-ta, not AW-gust-a). I hope that makes sense, I find it difficult to explain.
I love [name_m]Augustine[/name_m], because to me it sounds feminine and the ‘[name_u]August[/name_u]’ sound remains intact.
Whoa, I’m the complete opposite! I loooooooove [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and find [name_u]August[/name_u] to be a very masculine name, and not a particularly nice one at that. So, for me, [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] is my fav for girls, [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] is my fav for boys, and I think [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] could work well for either.
[name_m]Augustine[/name_m] Artoria [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is lovely.
I too love [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and think it would be more suitable for a girl I actually don’t quite understand how they’re said any differently? Oh well, haha, I guess going by that, I’d say [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] Artoria [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]August[/name_u] Artoria. I find Artoria a bit awkward to say with the other names though. Might I suggest:
Have you considered [name_f]Augustina[/name_f]? It’s got the pronunciation of the g you prefer and is decidedly feminine. It was the name of the “Spanish [name_f]Joan[/name_f] of [name_m]Arc[/name_m]” Agustina de Aragón.
I really like [name_f]Augustina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is pretty darn awesome.
I also like [name_f]Augustina[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] Artoria though I agree with pp that Artoria feels a bit strange with this combo. I think it’s the repetition of the A and R sounds from [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] in one name. Feels a bit like [name_u]August[/name_u] + [name_f]Rose[/name_f] = Artoria to me.
