Droplet (Guilty Pleasure!)
My favourite is [name_f]Marnie[/name_f]. It has the cool factor from being the name of an [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_m]Hitchcock[/name_m] movie.
Droplet is a new one to me!
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]- very pretty.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]-very pretty as well.
[name_f]Deidre[/name_f]- I find it kind of awkward to say.
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f]- more as a nn.
[name_f]Charis[/name_f]- I like this spelling better but not my style.
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]- nn.
[name_f]Lileas[/name_f]- nms.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]- love.
[name_f]Janessa[/name_f]- not a bad name but seems trendy.
[name_f]Carol[/name_f]- nms.
[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f]- seems made up, much prefer [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]- love it.
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]- I see this more as a middle name.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped.
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]- pretty
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]- reminds me of SATC
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]- meh. it’s a name that only my mom’s friends have. dated.
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f]- cute as a nickname. Definitely needs a full name imo.
[name_f]Karis[/name_f]/[name_f]Charis[/name_f]- I like the idea of it in terms of meaning. [name_f]Charis[/name_f] is going to be a tough pronunciation but [name_f]Karis[/name_f] looks wrong. Tough call.
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]- lovely
[name_f]Lileas[/name_f]- meh
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]- lovely
[name_f]Janessa[/name_f]- really not a fan
[name_f]Carol[/name_f]- also dated
[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f]- please no.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]- so pretty
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]- works as a middle name
Droplet (Guilty Pleasure!)- please no.
Dear Raevynstar,
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is the one I like best of all of the names on your list. The others I looked up pronunciation for, and I realized they are not my taste. I like a lot of similar names.
Instead of [name_f]Marnie[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Marne[/name_f] (marn-NAY rhymes with say) or [name_u]Marley[/name_u].
Instead of [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] I am in love with [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f], and [name_u]Evan[/name_u].
[name_f]Marina[/name_f] doesn’t do anything for me like [name_f]Marin[/name_f] does. *mah-RHIN rhymes with grin.
Instead of [name_f]Lileas[/name_f] I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], or [name_f]Lilac[/name_f].
I knew a [name_f]Janessa[/name_f] in third grade. It reminds me of other “smoosh” names even though I know it is legit in terms of being a concrete/real name, I’d go with Jodelle. My best friend in 4-6th grade was Jaselle.
[name_f]Marina[/name_f] - Reminds me of [name_f]Marina[/name_f] del [name_m]Rey[/name_m]. It’s a very nice place lol I’d probably have a positive view of the name. Not my style though.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - It’s nice enough, it just seems kind of old to me.
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] (DEER-dree) - Funnily enough, I know a [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]. Hers is DEER-druh though. I like the name, I always remember thinking her name was really cool.
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f] - Again, sounds old to me. NMS
[name_f]Karis[/name_f]/[name_f]Charis[/name_f] - like Care-is? or [name_f]Char[/name_f]-is? [name_f]Karis[/name_f] is a last name to me. [name_f]Charis[/name_f] reminds me of Charizard from Pokemon
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f] - reminds me of Halloweentown. I loved that movie and the girl who played [name_f]Marnie[/name_f]. Usually not big on M names, but this one I like.
[name_f]Lileas[/name_f] - [name_f]Lil[/name_f]-AY-es? [name_f]LIL[/name_f]-ee-as?
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - One of my personal favorites. I think it’s beautiful
[name_f]Janessa[/name_f] (No, I didn’t make it up!) - I like it. It has a very Hispanic flair. Very Latina
[name_f]Carol[/name_f] - Nope. Old.
[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f] - I think this one looks and sounds terrible, sorry. Fry?
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (Loo-SEE-a) - Another one that sounds very Latina. I like it a lot
[name_f]Snow[/name_f] - Guilty pleasure of mine. It sounds and looks beautiful to me but I don’t think it’s a name
Droplet (Guilty Pleasure!) - Nope. I don’t like the “Drop” sound in a name.
My thoughts on these names:
[name_f]Marina[/name_f] - This name is really spunky and vibrant. [name_f]Marina[/name_f] looks very cool and has a intriguing nautical vibe which feels funky and bright. [name_f]Marina[/name_f] is a sweet choice and I have often pondered on this choice!
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - A lovely name, I adore the Shakespearean connotations as [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is a literary character in The [name_f]Tempest[/name_f] which I find intriguing and cool. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is just vibrant and sounds wholesome. It’s a lovely choice.
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] - Ugh! The name feels dated and unattractive.
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f] - It’s a nickname not a name in it’s own right. [name_f]Nettie[/name_f] feels slightly informal. Not my thing.
[name_f]Karis[/name_f] - The name sounds pretty but the spelling is just dreadful. To be honest I would prefer [name_f]Carys[/name_f] the authentic Welsh spelling of this name. [name_f]Carys[/name_f] has the same pronunciation as [name_f]Karis[/name_f] but just looks far prettier and more authentic.
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f] - This name is a charming vintage choice. [name_f]Marnie[/name_f] sounds very vibrant and cool. It’s a lovely retro choice!
[name_f]Lileas[/name_f] - This name has an interesting sound but for me it just doesn’t visually look right. I don’t know for me there is something off with this name.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - An elegant choice, she sounds charming and looks pretty. I also adore the nicknames surrounding this name such as [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_u]Angie[/name_u], [name_f]Effie[/name_f] etc. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] has a lovely feel and just looks effortless.
[name_f]Janessa[/name_f] - Ugh if you have to state that you didn’t make a name up it isn’t a good idea… (well that’s what I think anyway)
[name_f]Carol[/name_f] - This name is okay and works well as maybe a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] inspired nickname. I would prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] a lengthened form of [name_f]Carol[/name_f] but just sounds far prettier and more elegant.
[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f] - Ugh…? Weird choice!
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] - I’m really not liking ‘[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]’ names to be honest but this is the best ‘[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]’ name out of the bunch. To be honest I prefer LOO SHA pronunciation of this name (like the Caribbean Island St. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]) it’s just spunky and has a lot of style. I adore [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (LOO SHA) it has a lot of spark.
Snow - It’s a sweet name she’s pretty and has a delicate sound. But would I want to be called Snow…? No I wouldn’t in all honesty, but I would love Snow as a sweet nickname for something regal and strong. I would adore a combination like Eleanor Snow.
Droplet - OTT no wonder it’s a GP the name is just off.
: )
I love the name [name_f]Marina[/name_f] and [name_f]Karis[/name_f]! [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are also really pretty!!
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]- I love this name, but don’t think I have it in me to use as a fn. Reminds me of [name_f]Marina[/name_f] and the Diamonds
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]- It’s a nice name, I’d like to see it on a baby
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] (DEER-dree) - Seems very dated to me, I think of Corronation St (UK Soap) and her big glasses
[name_f]Nettie[/name_f]- I love this as a nn more than anything, it’s very cute
[name_f]Karis[/name_f]/[name_f]Charis[/name_f]- I don’t care so much for this name apart from rhymes with [name_m]Ferris[/name_m]
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]- too me it is a nn, but then would fit right in with the UK nn trend of [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], [name_f]Evie[/name_f] etc
[name_f]Lileas[/name_f]- I’m sorry I don’t know how I would go on pronouncing this name, [name_f]Lil[/name_f]-e-as?
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]- beautiful name
[name_f]Janessa[/name_f] (No, I didn’t make it up!) I like the nn possiblity of [name_f]Nessie[/name_f]
[name_f]Carol[/name_f]- imo it seems a bt dated, I prefer the nn [name_f]Coral[/name_f] for [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f]- Are you trying for the pronunciation [name_f]Jen[/name_f]-ee-free, the fry is a bit off putting
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (Loo-SEE-a) I’m not very found of [name_m]Luc[/name_m]/y names
[name_f]Snow[/name_f]- I like this in the mn spot
Droplet (Guilty Pleasure!) maybe mn, how about [name_f]Snowdrop[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f], & [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Marnie[/name_f] and the rest I feel meh about.
Looking back months later, I don’t know where I was coming from–Droplet? [name_f]Janessa[/name_f]? 0.0
