[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Here are my thoughts-
Girls-
Lydia-This is nice. It feels smart & feminine & simple. Well known, but not super popular.
Leia-I think that ‘Lay-uh’ sounds pretty. I also think that it’s very associated w/Star Wars. And she’s a great character! It’s not a bad association. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a strong one.
Monroe-Meh, I don’t like this much. It feels over dramatic & not too feminine.
Anniston-I like [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. And it may be somewhat unavoidable. Speaking of strong associations, [name_f]Anniston[/name_f] feels very associated w/Jennifer [name_f]Anniston[/name_f]. It’s a bit trendy feeling for my taste.
Emmie-It’s not my cup of tea, but I’d at least do it as a nn.
Emma-Emma is sweet & classic. Obviously super popular, but a lovely name.
Hailey-I like [name_f]Hayley[/name_f] more, but that’s just me being picky. I think that [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] is sweet & sporty. A bit dated, but I like it. It has a pleasant sound.
Laney-Again, it has a nice sound. But it feels a tad nick-namey? I guess [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] nn [name_u]Laney[/name_u] might be better?
Boys-
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] ‘Andy’-I like [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] a lot. I think that it sounds like a kind down to earth guy. I could never get into [name_u]Andy[/name_u] (or Drew) for whatever reason. It’s not terrible.
Micah-I really should like this name, but just can’t get on board. I don’t like the sound, but it’s a perfectly nice name.
Koa-Ooh, it’s beautiful! But in a boyish way. I love the cool surfer dude vibe. Very calming & interesting but still really uncomplicated.
[name_m]Crew[/name_m] or Cru-Neither are quite my thing, but I think that [name_m]Crew[/name_m] looks way nicer.
Gabriel-Love [name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]. It’s a great balance of strong & beautiful. But completely masculine. It has fun nns too. I like [name_m]Gabe[/name_m]. But I really like [name_u]Gaby[/name_u], [name_m]Gib[/name_m] & [name_m]Gibby[/name_m].
Kingston-I don’t care much for it. It feels a bit trendy & kind of pretentious?
Jamie-I don’t know. It’s my sister’s name but also my BIL’s name. So, it almost feels too feminine for a boy & too masculine for a girl. I can see the appeal though. It’s kind of charming & simple but different.
Noah-I like it okay. It’s a bit done to death though, but a good solid name.
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] or Jakob-I’d stick w/Jacob, just because it’s easier. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] is done to death too, but I still really like it. I think that it sounds kind & gentle but still really strong at the same time.
Carter-Meh, it’s fine. I can’t pinpoint why I don’t like it, but it just feels a tad trendy.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
