My first Baby ! girl name help please

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] first baby and I am having a hard time choosing a name. I live in the US.

I Like the names [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] but I am having a hard time because my husband would like to honor his mother with a middle name [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and I’d like to honor my grandmother with the middle name Cheiko so I have to have both those names in between but neither sounds good with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] . I am considering adding rose which is my middle name before [name_f]Emily[/name_f] to break up the y endings but then the name becomes extremely long. any other first name suggestions. We like [name_f]English[/name_f] old lady names. I like flower names. Our last name is two syllables starts with a C . Thanks!

*also poppy could be a nickname if you can think of something other than [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], or [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] since those have been vetoed

Perhaps Emeline??

[name_f]Emeline[/name_f] Cheiko [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be stunning and honor all 3 of you

What about Using the root of some of the names and mashing them together so you can still honour those you love

[name_u]Emery[/name_u] Cheiko (Em for [name_f]Emily[/name_f] , ry for [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and sounds similar to Poppy)

[name_f]Millie[/name_f] Cheiko (uses all the same letters and sounds)

Romily Cheiko ( put [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] together)

I think [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is quite similar to [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], something like [name_u]Robin[/name_u] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Cheiko would be a nice nature name  I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] Cheiko and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], could also have nn [name_u]Perry[/name_u]. Maybe [name_f]Apolline[/name_f] could be shortened to Poppy/Polly. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is another nice choice.

[name_u]Honor[/name_u] names trump flow, so I would probably just do [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Cheiko or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Cheiko. I think they both work fine. And I love all four names! But it’s also worth considering that if you intend to have more children, you might want to save one of the honor names for a later baby.

I agree with @QuirkFlower that honor names trump flow.

Also [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is sometimes used as a nickname for [name_f]Calliope[/name_f].

I love the suggestion of Primrose!:rose:

You could also find names with similar meanings. Emily means industrious.
And Chieko means wisdom.

Some ideas:

Primrose Ida Sage “Poppy”
Millie Sage
Poppy Sophronia
Sophie Ida Primrose
Ida Millie Primrose
Poppy Elke Ramona
Millie Poppy Zella
Millie Ramona Primrose

Such cute options! I love [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] Cheiko. [name_u]Or[/name_u] maybe [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] Cheiko!

[name_f]Pallas[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Cheiko

I love the idea of including both your baby’s grandma and great-grandma in her name! :yellow_heart: I actually quite like either of your first name options with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] Cheiko as a middle combo; the repeated “ee” sounds don’t bother me here. But [name_f]Emily[/name_f] + Cheiko also immediately made me think of [name_f]Emiko[/name_f], if you’re open to combining? I think [name_f]Emiko[/name_f] works beautifully with either of your first name choices!
