Many years ago, I used to know a fellow Catholic girl named Ecclesia (eh-clay-zhe-uh). I’ve never met anyone with this name, but I always thought it was pretty. Have any of you heard of this name?

I never never of that name but I think it’s really pretty ! It’s unique but vintage I like it a lot reminds me of [name_f]Eudora[/name_f] in style!

I mean Ecclesia and [name_f]Perpetua[/name_f] definitely come across as very catholic, but I think ecclesia is a cool, somewhat clunky name like [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f], [name_f]Eudora[/name_f], or [name_f]Eulalia[/name_f]. I think it’s kinda growing on me

Ecclesia sounds exactly like the Greek word for church. I really love it.

Only from the Greek word for church from where we get ecclesiastical etc. Or the [name_u]French[/name_u] eglise
