i have been trying to find boys names that my husband and I agree on but also names that would go well with my sons name [name]Josef[/name] and possible future daughters names…
so here is my criteria… (sorry if its a lot!)
Names can`t begin with J, L, E, or M… no names that end in A or A sound i.e [name]Elijah[/name]
and obviously goes good with [name]Josef[/name]!!! also no PH (f is ok) and no TH !!!
Nothing too popular or TOO wierd!

Nicknames are good… we call [name]Josef[/name] “[name]Joe[/name]” or “Pep” ( my father in law is [name]Pepe[/name] and my husband is called pepito by his family so we ended up with pep!) p.s all are nicknames in spanish for jose/josef

My husband was like this. At one point with my last child I gathered up all the lists I had written and counted out (( 70 )) names he didn’t like. At this point I said how about YOU write a list. Well, needless to say the list was short and terrible!
My tip for you- wait until delivery and demand the name YOU like. LOL
I am not a fan of [name]Dominic[/name]- this is due to the relentless teasing a [name]Dominic[/name] I knew used to get in High School: “[name]CON[/name]-dominic”.
I think [name]Josef[/name] and [name]Tomas[/name] ([name]Joe[/name] and [name]Tom[/name]) make for a great match. [name]Mainstream[/name] yet easy to pronounce with a twist.
If he likes [name]Dominic[/name] then either [name]Tomas[/name] or one of the [name]Nicholas[/name] names should be good compromises because the nicknames are similar - [name]Tom[/name] / [name]Dom[/name] and [name]Nick[/name].
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Roman[/name] but my husband is from a small town where the probably more than half of the people have the last name [name]ROMAN[/name]… including some of our best friends… so its out! (as per Husbands rejection!)
I will be putting [name]Tomas[/name] on our list and try to convince him of it… he is not sold yet… [name]Dominic[/name] or even [name]Domenico[/name] are definate contenders… with [name]Domenico[/name] ( spanish version of [name]Dominic[/name] pronounced dom -IN -i -co stress on IN) we could use the NN’s [name]Dom[/name] or [name]Nico[/name] which my husband likes both!
He has now also said he likes [name]Leo[/name]… so… I will have to keep trying!

Oh, that’s too bad about [name]Roman[/name]! And it is funny you mentioned [name]Leo[/name] - [name]Leo[/name] was originally my first thought for you, but I saw that you did not want an “L” name.
I didnt really want an L name as [name]Lucia[/name] is my number one name for Girls and I am not a fan of sibling names that begin with the same letter… BUT if I only have 2 options for boys I might have to change [name]Lucia[/name] if we get a girl after!
