My son was born [name]October[/name] 18th, 2005, I was 22 and my bf(now husband) was 20. His name is [name]Cohen[/name] [name]Trevor[/name] [name]Darren[/name], my sister and I named him [name]Cohen[/name] after seeing a similar name in a baby book but after seeing a commercial for [name]Cohen[/name]'s Furniture store fell in love with the spelling. The show The O.C. was also very popular during this time with the Character [name]Seth[/name] [name]Cohen[/name], who went by [name]Cohen[/name]. [name]Trevor[/name] was after my husband’s cousin’s husband that passed away in 2001 and my husband was very close to him. [name]Darren[/name] is my husband’s name. My daughter was born [name]July[/name] 10th, 2012, she is only 3 weeks old. Her name is [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Pauline[/name], but we call her [name]Cate[/name] everyday. [name]Catherine[/name] is my middle name and I was named after my maternal grandmother and she was named after her paternal grandmother who was called [name]Kate[/name] everyday. My dad’s grandmother on his mother’s side was named [name]Katherine[/name] but was called [name]Kate[/name] everyday as well. Its def a family name. [name]Vivian[/name] is my paternal grandmother’s name and she passed away in [name]December[/name]. [name]Pauline[/name] is my husband’s paternal grandmother’s name because I wanted him to have something there for his family. I choose to call my daughter [name]Cate[/name] with a C because I feel it is better suited for [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Cohen[/name] and [name]Cate[/name] sound and look good together. I choose [name]Cate[/name] instead of [name]Cathy[/name] because I feel [name]Cathy[/name] is to old of name for a little girl and [name]Katie[/name] is just too popular. My maternal grandmother [name]Catherine[/name], goes by Cappy because her 2 year old brother could not say [name]Cathy[/name] and it just stuck.

Smart choice about Katie (my name is Kaitlyn), and I’m not a fan of Cate because I used to get called Kate when I was younger during not-so-pleasant times in my life … but Cate is adorable, and Cohen is amazing, and I love the sibset <3 I love it so much, I almost spelled it “cibset”! lol
