My latest name crush

Lately I’ve been crushing hard on the name [name_m]Albert[/name_m]. Take away all the preconceived associations with the name and it’s actually quite handsome in my opinion. To me it gives off a sort of [name_u]Anne[/name_u] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables aesthetic. So do you think [name_m]Albert[/name_m] can make a comeback or is it destined to stay in grandpa town?

I really like it! It’s ready for a revival, imo.

Albert is definitely ready for a come back. [name_f]Regal[/name_f], vintage and charming. [name_m]Albie[/name_m] makes a cute nickname too

Its definitely ready for a comeback.
[name_u]Alfie[/name_u] / [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] has made a huge leap latey. [name_m]Albert[/name_m], nn [name_m]Al[/name_m]/Albie should be on the same page imo.

One of my students is a wonderful teenage [name_m]Albert[/name_m], so I totally think it’s usable on a younger person. I think it’s a handsome classic with a little appealing softness to it.

I used to be pretty neutral about [name_m]Albert[/name_m], but I agree it’s very handsome. I like a lot of [name_m]Al[/name_m]- names like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], [name_m]Alastair[/name_m], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Alan[/name_m]… And I also like -bert ending names, like [name_m]Robert[/name_m] so… it’s obvious [name_m]Albert[/name_m] must be on my “like” list!

It’s charming and romantic, slightly preppy and with tons of nickname options, I love [name_m]Al[/name_m], [name_m]Albie[/name_m] and [name_u]Bertie[/name_u]. I can picture a little [name_m]Albie[/name_m] in class with Alfies, Tommys, Henrys, Olivers…

Oh, I would love to see [name_m]Albert[/name_m] make a comeback! It is definitely a handsome, underrated classic, imo. It always brings to mind [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Albert[/name_m], which gives it a very regal feel, too.

I can definitely see [name_m]Albert[/name_m] becoming popular especially as everyone seems to be loving vintage names and [name_m]Alby[/name_m] is well loved. I have met a few little boys called [name_m]Albert[/name_m] can definitely see the appeal it’s a handsome choice that I think has potential to be a top 10 in the U.K. not sure about elsewhere though.

Albert is cute. NNs [name_m]Al[/name_m], [name_u]Bert[/name_u], [name_u]Bertie[/name_u], [name_m]Beto[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Albert[/name_m] and [name_u]Stanley[/name_u] and [name_u]Douglas[/name_u] and [name_m]Herman[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] will be filling our playgrounds for years to come.

I think [name_m]Albert[/name_m] is already making a comeback in the UK! It’s still a little dated in the US, but the nickname [name_u]Bertie[/name_u] is so adorable.

I like [name_m]Albert[/name_m] a lot! I prefer a [name_u]French[/name_u] form, [name_m]Aubert[/name_m], even more, but [name_m]Albert[/name_m] is lovely! I think [name_u]Bertie[/name_u] is super cute ([name_m]Albie[/name_m]’s also nice, but I’m not a huge [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]/Albie/etc. fan, personally). I would love to meet a little [name_m]Albert[/name_m]!

ETA: I agree it has a vintage, regal feel.

Yes, I love [name_m]Albert[/name_m]. It was my grandpa’s name. It’s smart & strong, but so sweet & charming too. And I listed off close to ten boy names that I love to my dh the other day, & [name_m]Albert[/name_m] was the only one that he liked. So, it’s picky husband approved.

I know a child named [name_m]Albert[/name_m]. He doesn’t go by a nickname. I think it’s totally usable on a kid.
