I wouldn’t change your name, it will become a lot more hassle later in life!! The government is getting a lot more strict about identity and it may cause many issues for you, I think [name]Sian[/name] is absolutely beautiful, and now you are 18 I’m sure you are going off to college or getting a job, you will be able to tell people how to pronounce it!

My opinion!

Also I think a more reliable poll would be

[name]Eugenia[/name] [name]Catheryn[/name]
OR
[name]Sian[/name] middle name

because a lot of people won’t read your actual post when answering the poll

just a heads up!

Yay to [name]Eugenia[/name]. It’s a lovely name and I commend you for having the guts to use it! I went through a name change myself, but I went with something a little more mainstream ([name]Isabel[/name] ‘[name]Bella[/name]’).

I love [name]Eugenia[/name]. I think it’s a fabulous, underused name - I’d prefer the traditional spelling of [name]Catherine[/name] in the middle, though, or even perhaps [name]Eugenia[/name] [name]Sian[/name], as a nod to your former name. In the middle, it really just becomes reduced to an initial in adult life.

I understand having been through this myself how you feel ‘enough is enough’ and wish to create your own identity, so think about it and choose something that suits your personality and I suggest classic and feminine names.

I can hear people saying that you are spelling [name]Cathryn[/name] the tryndy way so I was pleased to see your explanation that it is the [name]Tudor[/name] spelling.

Is [name]Kearney[/name] your surname at present?

I like [name]Cathryn[/name] [name]Kearney[/name] but I would avoid [name]Eugenia[/name] and look for a classical Irish/ English name instead.

It is hard to advise unless we know a little of your personality eg outdoorsy, academic etc.

Some suggestions

[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Cathryn[/name] [name]Kearney[/name]
[name]Brooke[/name] [name]Cathryn[/name] [name]Kearney[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Cathryn[/name] [name]Kearney[/name]

You need to be careful with the combo so that the first and last name do not both end in a ‘y’ sound even if it is the nn.

rollo

I can see what you’re saying, but I chose [name]Eugenia[/name] because it’s classical, outdated (which I love) and a [name]Saint[/name] name. My family is Irish Catholic so I figure a religious name would warm them up to the idea. Thanks! :3

[name]Eugenia[/name] is a very pretty and elegant name, but I kind of like [name]Sian[/name]. There is a girl in my grade named [name]Sian[/name], pronouncing it like the boy’s name, and same spelling too. I think it is really unique and exciting and beautiful. I wouldn’t change it, maybe keep it as a middle? [name]Eugenia[/name] [name]Sian[/name]?

This is kind of off-topic, but what is your current middle name? Could you just flip your first name with your middle name? I think your family would maybe be happier if it was just a switch like that. I have a friend named [name]Chayla[/name] (pronounced [name]Shay[/name]-Luh) [name]Harper[/name] and she hated her first name so she goes by [name]Harper[/name], her middle name.

I too dislike my name, and am planning on changing it. [name]Feel[/name] free to drop me a message if you ever feel the need too.

[name]Eugenia[/name] [name]Cathryn[/name] is very much not my style, so I can’t comment much on it. However if you love that combo, and you feel that it’s you, and will make you happier with it, then I say go for it.
Sit on the idea for a while though, perhaps a month at least, and try it out here and there. See how you feel about it.
