Hello! As the end of the month approaches, I’m looking to redo my signature. As I’ve been sifting through names and combos, it’s been difficult for me to quantify my style. This might be useful in my search for other names, so out of curiosity: What would you consider my style to be? [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to base it off the names in my signature, but I’ll also leave a sample list here. Thank you!
You have a very similar style to one of my categories. I have many different styles sorted into categories based upon these sort of “themes”.
Most of the names you listed above are the exact type I would put into my “Vintage/Steampunk” sub.
These sort of names gives me images of someone who dresses in 1940s fashion with a little Victorian twist. I picture them carrying one of those brown leather travel suitcases with the postcards and stamps all over them. Intelligent with their nose in a book more times than not. Very adventurous and doesn’t like to be tied down. A free soul.
No idea if you think the same but it’s what I got lol.
Edit: I would also like to second @18_25’s opinion who made a good observation. You do have a few names of Greek mythological goddesses so I would search within those terms as well.
You’ve got a good mix of styles going on, however, most all of your names have a great grounding strength to them, are timeworn and refined with a rich history, but also quite unexpected and atypical…so I’d list your overall style as, perhaps, quirky-vintage or offbeat-classic.
@mamacat217: Thank you for the input! A lot of names on my even longer list are nature-inspired as well, or are figures from history/mythology related to nature. @interstellar: Thank you for the category idea and the fabulous imagery. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m going for. @18_25: I absolutely agree with this, and I’ll definitely be scouring even more mythology for new favorites. @alchemicallypurplefairy: This categorization definitely helps me to focus my search; thank you!
@greyblue: Thank you for the input, and I think you got it spot-on. @sunniva: Beautiful description, thank you so much. @jonquils: Thank you! You pointed out five that are in my top ten.
