My new love: Samantha.. but need advice!

I don’t know why I’ve never really considered it before but all of the sudden I’m into the name [name]Samantha[/name]. I’m one of the lucky few I suppose that didn’t grow up with any Samanthas (must have missed my area) so I’m pleased to have no good/bad associations with the name. I definitely think the full name is classy and lovely but we’d no doubt end up calling her [name]Sam[/name] (one syllable nicknames just happen naturally in our family). I feel like [name]Samantha[/name] might not mesh perfectly with my other children ([name]Mason[/name] & [name]Brenna[/name]) but the cute and cool nickname [name]Sam[/name] seems to work ([name]IMO[/name]).

2 questions… do you berries think [name]Sam[/name] can work with the other kiddos, or am I trying to convince myself? Anddd, here’s the one I know might not get great feedback… My husband is obsessed with the name [name]Shae[/name] (shea or [name]Shay[/name], don’t know how we’d spell it) and I feel like if I could “give” him [name]Shae[/name] as a middle name, he’d be in for [name]Samantha[/name] as a first. [name]How[/name] do you feel about the name [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] ([name]Shay[/name]) ? Never was a huge fan of [name]Shae[/name] but with [name]Samantha[/name] I don’t mind it as much… I’m a sucker for alliteration.

I’m just brainstorming and having fun while waiting for another baby to come along! Thanks for the help

I’m also a sucker for alliteration, and I’m kind of digging [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name]! I do like [name]Shea[/name] > [name]Shay[/name]. It’s not the same style as your other kids, but I think it would work, especially with the nickname [name]Sam[/name].

I went to school with quite a few [name]Samantha[/name]'s but I still don’t mind the name. [name]One[/name] of my best friends is [name]Samantha[/name] with the nn [name]Sam[/name].
I’m not a fan of [name]Shae[/name] though.

I think [name]Mason[/name], [name]Brenna[/name] and [name]Samantha[/name] is perfect. [name]Samantha[/name] is a lovely name. [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] is nice, although I might prefer the spelling [name]Shay[/name]. You could, however, look for names where [name]Shae[/name]/y is the nickname. I’ve seen it done for [name]Shannon[/name].

I love [name]Samantha[/name] too and even though it’s not my typical style, [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] has a nice ring to it.

You might not think it goes well with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name], but I quite like it.

[name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] sounds nice together. I think it is because there is the S sound and the Sh sound. So there isn’t the repetition of sounds like with other examples of alliteration. [name]Samantha[/name] is different stylistically from [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name], but [name]Sam[/name] sounds nice with them. I think as long as siblings aren’t polar opposites it is okay. A child’s name is not said with sibling’s names for their entire lives, so I think each name has to be weighed on its own merit and how much you like it. [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] is very cute.

I think [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] is very pretty. I think it sounds good with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Brenna[/name]. It doesn’t sound out of place to me at all. I think [name]Samantha[/name] is a beautiful name.

Thanks for the feedback! Totally just a “throw it out there” situation but there’s something about having a little [name]Sam[/name]/[name]Sammi[/name] that just makes me smile. Anyone know what the most normal way to even spell [name]Shae[/name]/[name]Shea[/name]/[name]Shay[/name] is?? I feel like using this as a possible middle is a good weapon to get husband on board with some of my other choices, too

I think [name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] is perfect with your kids names! I think [name]Samantha[/name] is a great feminine name.

[name]Samantha[/name] [name]Shae[/name] is beautiful. I would use it!
