My Top 10 for boys and girls

We do not know the sex and hope to keep it a surprise. Give me your honest feedback on these please!

[name]Etta[/name] (from full name: [name]Cozette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name]/[name]Georgette[/name]/[name]Suzette[/name])
[name]Roux[/name] (prn:”Roo”)
[name]Beatrix[/name] (”[name]Bea[/name]”)

[name]Jakob[/name] *husband wants, but I feel it’s too popular

[name]Hi[/name] there!

[name]Stella[/name]: [name]Stella[/name] is one of those names I like, but not enough for my own child, if that makes any sense!

[name]Etta[/name] (from full name: [name]Cozette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name]/[name]Georgette[/name]/[name]Suzette[/name]): I think [name]Etta[/name] is a great nickname, and [name]Cosette[/name] (spelled the authentic way) is my favorite of your -ette names!

[name]Ada[/name]/[name]Adele[/name]: I think [name]Adele[/name] is great, and prefer its elegant feel to the more comfy [name]Ada[/name]. (I like both, though!)

[name]Ramona[/name]: This quirky name as really been growing on me!

[name]Harper[/name]: [name]Harper[/name] isn’t my style, but of the surnames being used for girls’ first names, I really like [name]Harper[/name].

[name]Raina[/name]: I’m not a fan of [name]Raina[/name], but that’s just me.

[name]Maeve[/name]: I think [name]Maeve[/name] is gorgeous!

[name]Roux[/name] (prn:”Roo”): I love to cook, and [name]Roux[/name] is a thickener made from flour and fat. I’d definitely stay away from [name]Roux[/name]! If you’d like a name with an X ending, I’d stick with [name]Beatrix[/name], although [name]Margaux[/name] is another option.

[name]Maxine[/name]: To me, [name]Maxine[/name] is the cranky senior citizen from Hallmark cards. I grew up with a [name]Maxine[/name], and in addition to hating her name, she endured many a maxi pad joke. :frowning:

[name]Lucy[/name]: I love [name]Lucy[/name]!

[name]Beatrix[/name] (”[name]Bea[/name]”): I [name]LOVE[/name], [name]LOVE[/name], [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]!

From your list, I vote for [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Maeve[/name], and [name]Beatrix[/name].

[name]Levi[/name]: While I love Biblical names, [name]Levi[/name]'s just okay for me.

[name]Jude[/name]: I think [name]Jude[/name] is great!

[name]Amos[/name]: I’m definitely not a fan of [name]Amos[/name]. It sounds too close to a part of the human anatomy for me, and I can already hear the teasing on the playground. By changing one little letter, when said aloud, [name]Amos[/name] takes on a whole new meaning.

[name]Tate[/name]: I think [name]Tate[/name] is a great name, but I prefer it as a middle name.

[name]Henry[/name]: [name]Love[/name], love, love [name]Henry[/name]!

[name]Drew[/name]: I like [name]Drew[/name] as a nickname for [name]Andrew[/name], but not as a first name in and of itself.

[name]Jonas[/name]: I immediately think of [name]Jonas[/name] Brothers.

[name]Jakob[/name]: I think [name]Jacob[/name] (with the c) is a handsome name, but it’s ranked #1 in the universe!

Of your boys’ names, I vote for [name]Henry[/name].

Good luck!

[name]Stella[/name]- I like it, but I don’t love it. I’ve never met one, but I think if I met a cute little girl named [name]Stella[/name] I would think it was adorable!
[name]Etta[/name] (from full name: [name]Cozette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name]/[name]Georgette[/name]/[name]Suzette[/name])- I love this! I’ve considered using [name]Etta[/name] as nickname for Lulette (my great-grandmother’s name). I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Suzette[/name], I think it’s so spunky and fun!
[name]Ada[/name]/[name]Adele[/name]- I’m ambivalent on this one
[name]Ramona[/name]- I feel like [name]Ramona[/name] wouldn’t be a nice person, but that’s just me.
[name]Harper[/name]- a little trendy, but I like it
[name]Raina[/name]- I really dislike this one, sorry!
[name]Maeve[/name]- I try, but I just can’t make myself like this one.
[name]Roux[/name] (prn:”Roo”)- if it weren’t for the sauce, I would think this was cute. But as it is, I don’t think it’s a good idea. Roo would be a cute nickname for something else though, maybe [name]Ramona[/name], or [name]Harper[/name], Harperoo would be cute!
[name]Maxine[/name]- I like the nickname [name]Maxie[/name], but I don’t like [name]Maxine[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name]!
[name]Beatrix[/name] (”[name]Bea[/name]”)- [name]LOVE[/name] again! I’d use the nickname [name]Trixie[/name] though

[name]Levi[/name]- I’m a fan of [name]Levi[/name]. I went to school with one and in junior high I thought it was weird, but now I really like it.
[name]Jude[/name]- This is one of my top 5, I really love it!
[name]Amos[/name]- definitely agree with [name]Jill[/name].
[name]Tate[/name]- not feeling this one
[name]Henry[/name]- Great name!
[name]Drew[/name]- [name]Drew[/name] is handsome! I would say it’s better as a nn for [name]Andrew[/name], but I don’t really like [name]Andrew[/name], so for this one I might just go with [name]Drew[/name].
[name]Jonas[/name]- Pretty cool, I think I prefer [name]Jonah[/name] though
[name]Jakob[/name]- I definitely would spell it [name]Jacob[/name], since it’s the number one name, [name]Jakob[/name] would NEVER be spelled right.

[name]Stella[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Stella[/name]! I picture a cute little curly-haired girl.
[name]Etta[/name] (from full name: [name]Cozette[/name]/[name]Colette[/name]/[name]Georgette[/name]/[name]Suzette[/name]) Think this is cute as nn for [name]Colette[/name]…I’ve only ever met one [name]Colette[/name].
[name]Ada[/name]/[name]Adele[/name] - Partial to [name]Adele[/name]. [name]Ada[/name] sounds “old” to me…if that makes sense.
[name]Ramona[/name] - I think of those books from when I was a kid…I can’t picture anything else…I wouldn’t go with it for that reason. The name it self is cute, though.
[name]Harper[/name] - I do really like this name, but seems to be getting “trendy”
[name]Raina[/name] - I like this name. Only met one (her’s was [name]Rayna[/name]) and she’s just adorable
[name]Maeve[/name] - SUPER cute! This one’s really growing on me!
[name]Roux[/name] (prn:”Roo”) - Makes me think of Kanga and Roo from [name]Winnie[/name] the Pooh.
[name]Maxine[/name] - yeah…I think of the crabby old Hallmark lady
[name]Lucy[/name] - Really like this one alot!
[name]Beatrix[/name] (”[name]Bea[/name]”) - I know a lot of other nameberry folks love this one, but its just not me.

[name]Levi[/name] - I didn’t like this one at first, but lately its growing on me.
[name]Jude[/name] - I think this is my favorite of your boys names.
[name]Amos[/name] - I think of [name]Amos[/name] and [name]Andy[/name]…Or Famous [name]Amos[/name] cookies (while delicious…not baby name worthy to me)
[name]Tate[/name] - sorry, not a fan. Maybe as a nn for something?
[name]Henry[/name] - sorta middle ground on this one…not bad but not amazing
[name]Drew[/name] - I dated a drew…sorta ruins the name for me
[name]Jonas[/name] - 100% [name]Jonas[/name] brothers to me…but otherwise REALLY adorable!
[name]Jakob[/name] *husband wants, but I feel it’s too popular - not a fan of the “k”…but otherwise its a nice name…but you’re right…POPULAR!

I’d go with [name]Stella[/name] or [name]Jude[/name].

[name]Stella[/name]: I really like [name]Stella[/name], but I know three under the age of two (I think she might be the next [name]Ella[/name])
[name]Etta[/name]: [name]Love[/name] this as a nn for [name]Colette[/name] or [name]Cosette[/name] (and I like the full names, too)
[name]Ada[/name]/[name]Adele[/name]: [name]Ada[/name] is a personal favorite ([name]Adele[/name] sounds a bit more serious, but is also lovely)
[name]Ramona[/name]: I like [name]Ramona[/name] but don’t like the inevitable nn [name]Mona[/name] (I just hear moan!)
[name]Harper[/name]: So pretty, but again, I think she’ll be popular very soon
[name]Raina[/name]: Not my favorite
[name]Maeve[/name]: Classy and cute at the same time!
[name]Roux[/name] (prn:”Roo”): I agree with [name]Jill[/name], I just see a white sauce!
[name]Maxine[/name]: Not my cup of tea
[name]Lucy[/name]: Such a nice, classic name! I really love it as a nn for [name]Lucia[/name]/[name]Lucinda[/name]/[name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] (”[name]Bea[/name]”): My very favorite from your list! A real gem

[name]Levi[/name]: Unfortunately I just see [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name]'s boyfriend when I hear this name
[name]Jude[/name]: [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Jude[/name]!
[name]Amos[/name]: I really like [name]Amos[/name], but I would worry about teasing :frowning:
[name]Tate[/name]: Feels more like a nn to me (maybe for [name]Tatum[/name]?)
[name]Henry[/name]: [name]Henry[/name] is just a good guy, you know? I even love the nn [name]Hank[/name]!
[name]Drew[/name]: As a nn for [name]Andrew[/name], very nice
[name]Jonas[/name]: Like but don’t love
[name]Jakob[/name]: Too popular (no matter how you spell it), though the [name]Jake[/name]/[name]Jack[/name] possibilities are kind of cute

My girl picks: [name]Cosette[/name], [name]Ada[/name], [name]Lucy[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name]
My boy picks: [name]Jude[/name], [name]Henry[/name], or [name]Andrew[/name] ([name]Drew[/name])
